A boutique and hands-on zoo, located on the banks of the Murray River in Western Australia, only 1 hour from Perth. The unique zoo offers visitors the opportunity to experience the animals in a way that traditional zoos cannot match. You will have the chance to hand feed the animals, hold a snake, pat a rufous bettong, and tickle a ferret! These are just a few examples of the many interactive experiences offered. The zoo is home to over 100 species of birds and animals, including koalas, wombats, dingoes, exotic birds, reptiles and kangaroos.
In addition to the animal experiences, the zoo also offers a range of other activities and amenities. Bring a hamper and take advantage of the free BBQ facilities.

They are committed to the welfare of the animals and the conservation of endangered species. The zoo is dedicated to promoting awareness and understanding of the animals in their care and the importance of preserving their natural habitats. At Ranger Red’s zoo, they believe that visitors should have the opportunity to connect with nature and the animals in a unique and personal way.

We came here on a Friday, and there are so many animals to see! They’re well taken care of and the keepers (specifically Alex) are extremely knowledgeable and will answer any questions in detail. We had a great time with 3 animal encounters. Very friendly, just bring your own lunch 😊

The male black cockatoo in the bird aviary was very tame and friendly. He flew over and landed on my sons shoulder and stayed there for ages. My son loved it, was a great experience. We also did the birds of the night encounter and we got to hand feed the owls and get close up photos with them. They also had a employee with a snake and a lizard that you can pet and hold. The only thing that would improve the experience is if they had more food available so you can have lunch there. At the moment they have icecream and chips and softdrink. A coffee machine would be great. They have free coffee but I found the unhomoginised milk didn't mix well. Will definitely go back again.

The conservation park is such a good experience overall, it is a wonderful place to spend time, whether it's for a day out with family, a peaceful picnic, or simply to immerse oneself in nature's beauty and sounds. The park also has lots of spots to sit and take in the wildlife at your own pace. The park is nice and cosy with open spaces for many free roaming animals like the kangaroos, wallabies, peacock and a variety of birds. Make sure to catch some of the keeper talks they were a really interesting insight into the animals natural history. This centre serves to protect endangered and vulnerable species and promote education and awareness. We went on a hot day, but there is a good deal of shade, so we did not let that deter us from exploring the whole park. Ranger Red is a larger than life naturalist was great talking to him,

Better experience than any zoo I've been to. For such an underspoken zoo, it's extremely dense with a lot to do. We spent too much time in the walk in aviary alone, the birds are very very friendly and chipper. We spent time here not due to a big and expensive park, but just because there is that much to do. Not to underplay the lack of other facilities; the bathroom and catering is lacking, but the zoo itself is great.
