The Miller family are third-generation Cowaramup dairy farmers who take 100% Southwest milk and hand make small batch ice cream…that really takes some licking! Since 2010 Millers have created over 60 premium ice cream flavours, with 26 flavours on display and ready for scooping. Millers Ice Creamery is housed restored settler's cottage, set on spacious grounds with serene rural views. Visitors love to sit back and relax with an ice cream or a coffee and absorb the peaceful Margaret River farm life. Millers Ice Cream is an old fashioned treat loved by locals and sought after by visitors.
On the outskirts of the aptly named village of Cowaramup, in the heart of the popular Margaret River region, you will find Millers Ice Creamery -  home to some of the freshest, handmade ice cream this side of the equator.

Back in 1926 Sandy Miller, a plucky 19-year-old, emigrated from Scotland in search of a brighter future. He secured uncleared land in Cowaramup and with his wife Joy, they worked hard to establish their dairy farm.  Some 84 years later the Miller family still milked cows but Sandy’s grandson Paul, and his wife Trish, set the family dairy on a new course and diversified into making ice cream on the farm from their own fresh milk.  The Millers did this for nearly ten years, but in 2020 they made the difficult decision to cease milking -  the effort was no longer worth the return.

The Millers story doesn't end here though...they still make their delicious ice cream on their farm using 100% full cream milk fresh from the paddocks of the beautiful Southwest.  Millers continue to support the WA dairy industry and remain farming.  So with the new decade, a new chapter started for this pioneering family. Their feet are still firmly planted on their land...and an ice cream cone in their hand!

Millers Ice Cream is made from 100% full cream Southwest milk.  Gluten, vegan, dairy and egg-free options available.

A trip down south is not complete without a spin out to the farm for a good old fashioned treat. Millers offer 26 flavours of ice cream served in a cup or cone...or add your favourite flavour to a milkshake made thick and creamy in the old-school style. Millers also serve, tea, coffee and homebaked scones and treats such as their sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce and served with a scoop of ice cream of course!

Millers Ice Creamery is popular with the young and old with spacious lawns, adventure playground, nature walk and fake dairy cows to milk. It is a perfect spot to picnic and wind down after a busy day touring the region.

Absolutely loved our visit to Miller's Icecreamery! It was so hard to choose from all the delicious flavours and we got a bit caught up in the gift shop! There is an excellent playground for the kids and lots of beautiful space and bushland to sit amongst and enjoy your treats! We said hello to the resident dairy cows and marvelled at the beauty, peace and quiet before reluctantly making our way home. Can't wait to come back! Oh and the icecream, was definitely the best ever!! Flavours sampled included fig, mango, coffee and strawberry cheesecake!

We got multiple ice creams, coffees and scones and it was all amazing. Great scones with jam and cream made fresh. Ice cream was as good as any I've had around the world and the coffee was as good as people from Australia would expect. It was also set in a beautiful farm setting. Don't miss it!

Family fun and DELICIOUS tasting ice cream. This place just cannot be missed. Both family friendly and reasonably priced, this delicious ice cream is perfect as a pick me up or a dessert after a meal out in the local area. The play area is certainly a fantastic area for kids to run around. I will most certainly be returning soon to enjoy some more ice cream.

The ice cream was ok (a quality that you'd get from most ice cream parlours), but for me, the cones let it down (I would have preferred fresh made Waffle Cones). Also, when we visited, the staff were "a bit short" with us, which we thought was quite rude (especially since we were the only customers in the store at the time). I felt very rushed whilst in the store. Our son liked the playground..... Overall, nothing made us think "hey, we have to come back next time" ☹
