Millers Ice Creamery
Back in 1926 Sandy Miller, a plucky 19-year-old, emigrated from Scotland in search of a brighter future. He secured uncleared land in Cowaramup and with his wife Joy, they worked hard to establish their dairy farm. Some 84 years later the Miller family still milked cows but Sandy’s grandson Paul, and his wife Trish, set the family dairy on a new course and diversified into making ice cream on the farm from their own fresh milk. The Millers did this for nearly ten years, but in 2020 they made the difficult decision to cease milking for the effort was no longer worth the return.
Millers Ice Cream is made from 100% full cream Southwest milk and is free from artificial colours and flavours with gluten, dairy and egg-free options available.
A trip down south is not complete without a spin out to the farm for a good old fashioned treat. Millers offer 26 flavours of ice cream served in a cup or cone...or add your favourite flavour to a milkshake made thick and creamy in the old-school style. Millers also serve, tea, coffee and homebaked scones and treats such as their sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce and served with a scoop of ice cream of course!
Millers Ice Creamery is popular with the young and old with spacious lawns, adventure playground, nature walk and fake dairy cows to milk. It is a perfect spot to picnic and wind down after a busy day touring the region.
