The tour is a wonderful and unique experience. Never been to Margaret River nor truffle hunting before, and 100% recommend a visit to the Margaret River Truffle Farm because you will be in the good hands of owners Ben and Charmaine. Ben started off the experience with a detailed introduction of truffles, and truffle farm life. Then, Charmaine brought in Alba the professional truffle hunting dog to guide us on a hunt for truffles. Even though it was rainy, the experience remained very pleasant as brollys were provided. There was also a live tasting of truffles after (doesn’t get fresher than this) and many yummy truffle products were also available for purchase.

WOW!! AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! We did the 'Dig Deep & Eat' option and had a wonderful time learning all about truffle farming, having the opportunity to dig one up ourselves, being served the most generous sized truffle portions and delicious lunch you could hope for, and to top it all off making friends with their gorgeous truffle hunting doggies!! I would recommend this tour to all age groups!! MUST SEE & DO!!

I don’t know where to start! This was hands down of the funnest experiences of my life! My friends and I went down south for my 40th and I was told about going on the hunt with the dog - we were intrigued! Ben and Charmaine were so accommodating and kind and absolutely over the top generous with the truffle shavings on the delicious food they prepared for us. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to eat arancini ever again because their arancini was the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. We learnt a lot about growing truffles and their history not only here but worldwide. The food was beyond 5 star restaurant quality and the vibes were what you would expect from a family run and owned company: “could have been mates in another life” we all got along so well. I really appreciate how down to Earth and honest they are. We loved Alby the truffle dog - what a cutie and very intelligent. It was really interesting to learn how he was trained and watching him search for truffles. We were allowed to dig up a truffle after he sniffed them out and as you can see from the photo, the size of mine it was exceptional. I will so be back here and HIGHLY RECOMMEND the hunt and food experience here at Margaret River Truffle Farm! I just wish I bought more chocolate 🍫 hehe Thank you 🩷🩷🩷 Jacinta

Ben and Charmaine are warm and generous hosts who provide a fabulous farm to plate experience on their beautiful Cowaramup property. The tour includes interesting historical information about truffle cultivation alongside various delicious savoury and sweet food dishes, with amazing, fresh shavings of black truffle. We thoroughly enjoyed following Alby the gorgeous truffle dog around the farm as he sniffed out the black gold🤗 We were able to dig up a truffle and smell the incredible earthy aroma of a freshly unearthed truffle. Highly recommend this unique winter foodie encounter on your next trip to the Margaret River Region.
