We had such a nice midweek evening meal here! Lamb shank was cooked to perfection and the mash consistency was spot on. Korean Fried Chicken is also a winner and we shared the pork belly skewers as well. The two guys who served us were so attentive and lovely too. We will definitely be back!

A little disappointed in our lunch here today. Firstly booked online but we could only book from 2.00pm onwards. We figured it was a full house but after rearranging our day around the late lunch and arriving g to find an almost empty venue, we were a little surprised to say the least. We asked the bar attendant if it had been busy and he said no. So not off to a good start. Ordered the roast porcini for lunch. Servings on the small side. The veggies were nice but the pork was a bit on the dry side, probably because had been sitting in the warmer ready for 12.00 o’clock service. Crackle wasn’t quite there and not enough gravy for the dry meat unfortunately. Portion was on the smaller side. Not as good as our last visit so will think twice about this venue next time.

Started with chicken and duck liver parfait to share. Delicious light parfait, with sourdough, plenty for the four of us. Then the men had the steak special with mushroom sauce, both very happy with the well sized, medium rare steaks and sides. Chicken for the women, a huge schitzy for me, with a fresh coleslaw and rocket and Korean fried chicken was great too. The food is not fancy, just good solid food with substantial serves. Well done Amelia Park Tavern.

We attended two Sundays in a row, both times we booked online and when we arrived the doors don’t automatically open anymore and there’s no one at the front who you see in charge of bookings. Instead you’re greeted with floundering wait staff behind the bar all looking like it’s their first day (this happened both sundays) and we had to line up at the bar and wait to find our seat. The food came out well before the drinks and the first Sunday the Korean fried chicken was bomb but the second Sunday it was mediocre. Thankfully the food is enjoyable, just be prepared for the service side of things to be a little slow. We used to come here all the time when this first opened but just haven’t this last year and it doesn’t feel as well oiled as it used to be.
