Or head into the outdoors and enjoy the natural playground or stroll through the sculpture walk amongst seasonal wildflowers and native surrounds.
Nestled in native Australian bushland. Goanna is quirky, unpretentious and relaxed. Goannas ever-changing seasonal menu is designed to showcase the very best and freshest ingredients on offer in the region.
For owner & Head Chef Duncan Timmons, creating fresh, interesting and honest dishes in a kitchen he could call his own had long been a dream. This dream was realised when Duncan and wife Ali took the plunge to head down under from their native Scottish shores and swap city streets for home and café set in stunningly beautiful Australian native bush, close to world-class vineyards and golden sandy beaches.
Duncan’s passion for simple, fresh and understated food is expressed through his creative seasonal menu. He works closely alongside a long list of local producers and suppliers to ensure that every menu item showcases the freshest, best quality and locally sourced ingredients.
Along with supporting local growers and producers in the cafe, Goanna Gallery proudly supports local artisans with a selection of handpicked, homegrown, art and design from throughout the region and Australia wide. The Gallery carries an evolving range of local artwork, jewellery, scarves, Corrynne’s natural beauty products and homewares with a focus on handcrafted and quality pieces. Discover new artists through exhibitions in the café space.
Little ones can enjoy their own adventure in the children's playground with adjacent cafe seating. Four-legged friends (dogs) are welcomed in outdoor areas so long as they are on a lead.
