Situated only ten minutes from Dunsborough, you feel a world away from the hustle and bustle in this relaxed native setting. Sit back, relax and enjoy a lazy breakfast or lunch while enjoying a drop from Goanna's local wine list, or simply stop by for a locally roasted coffee and freshly, homemade sweet treat. Inside you can explore the gallery showcasing local artisans including woodworkers, photographers, ceramic artists and jewellers. Or head into the outdoors and enjoy the natural playground or stroll through the sculpture walk amongst seasonal wildflowers and native surrounds.
Nestled in native Australian bushland. Goanna is quirky, unpretentious and relaxed. Goannas ever-changing seasonal menu is designed to showcase the very best and freshest ingredients on offer in the region.

For owner & Head Chef Duncan Timmons, creating fresh, interesting and honest dishes in a kitchen he could call his own had long been a dream. This dream was realised when Duncan and wife Ali took the plunge to head down under from their native Scottish shores and swap city streets for home and café set in stunningly beautiful Australian native bush, close to world-class vineyards and golden sandy beaches. Duncan’s passion for simple, fresh and understated food is expressed through his creative seasonal menu. He works closely alongside a long list of local producers and suppliers to ensure that every menu item showcases the freshest, best quality and locally sourced ingredients.

Along with supporting local growers and producers in the cafe, Goanna Gallery proudly supports local artisans with a selection of handpicked, homegrown, art and design from throughout the region and Australia wide. The Gallery carries an evolving range of local artwork, jewellery, scarves, Corrynne’s natural beauty products and homewares with a focus on handcrafted and quality pieces. Discover new artists through exhibitions in the café space.

Little ones can enjoy their own adventure in the children's playground with adjacent cafe seating. Four-legged friends (dogs) are welcomed in outdoor areas so long as they are on a lead.

Amazing art at this little Gallery. You won't be disappointed if you are a collector. And beautiful pieces of jewelry also. Cafe was closed when we went, though it was a little late in the day. Stop by and see what breathtaking art they have on display.

Excellent food menu, nicest dish I’ve had in a while. Group of us all enjoyed our meal. Lovely setting, multiple options for sitting outside in a shaded space. Well priced and very good value. Would love to come back to try the brunch menu.

When a restaurant is named a Bush Cafe, it literally is tucked away in the bush, although the Gallery part of name was difficult to relate. Nevertheless, our trepidation on seeing pastries and baked food in the display cabinet, creating visions of a run-of-the-mill cafe, was pleasantly turned around, when the food came. Food was served in order of the entrees being finished before the mains were being prepared. We were not disappointed. Well presented and prepared food which would make any fine dining restaurant proud, despite the very casual and easy-going ambience. Well done, Goanna! I will be finding my way again into this 'middle-of-nowhere' soon.

We stopped in morning tea and it was great. Goanna has been around for many years and it's more of a cafe than a gallery. A fabulous location in the bush.
