A fresh take on traditional dining with relaxed offerings amongst a charming hobby farm.

Meelup Farmhouse is a relaxed restaurant and bar located on a coastal hobby farm. Head Chef Dean Williams curates a menu showcasing the best local produce and seasonal ingredients, offering brunch and lunch under a lantern-lit veranda with views of the surrounding bush and paddocks.

Mila’s lawn provides a casual, family-friendly space for light bites and drinks in the sun, with stylish lounges, a brunch or all-day grazing menu, and crafted cocktails from Mila’s Bar. For a true taste of the South West, guests can enjoy seasonal picnic hampers and local wine under the gum trees, or pick up house made takeaway treats like Gran's sausage rolls, jaffles, local artisan ice cream, and coffee at Meelup Dairy while saying hello to the farm’s furry and feathered residents.

This venue is beautifully arranged. Looks like a great place to get married and was being set up for one when I was there. You are greeted by fluffy chickens and friendly staff. The food was amazing, arrived quickly and top quality. I had the duck curry which fell off the bone and was incredibly tasty and not too hot. The steamed greens were a highlight and perfectly seasoned and cooked. There was a good selection of drinks and a cold zero lager and XPA there for the driver. We will be back!

Meelup Farmhouse is undeniably beautiful. The atmosphere is serene and inviting, with a modern, thoughtfully curated design that feels both stylish and comfortable. It’s the kind of place you want to linger and enjoy the surroundings, especially on a nice day. As for the food, it was a bit underwhelming given the price point. I had the snapper, which fell flat for me. The flavor didn’t stand out, and the deep-fried potato served with it wasn’t to my liking—it felt heavy and out of place. The tuna ceviche had potential but needed to be fresher. On a warm day, serving it at room temperature detracted from the dish. The octopus, on the other hand, was good—nicely cooked—but I would have liked a touch more lemon for brightness and a slightly fresher taste to elevate it. While the setting and ambiance are fantastic, the food didn’t quite meet my expectations for the price. It’s a lovely spot to visit for the experience, but I’d hope for more refinement in the dishes to match the beautiful surroundings.

Great food and ambience and a really beautiful place. Service staff were very friendly and a great experience overall. Would definitely come back! The animals also added to the fun, especially the silky chickens and the alpacas. Booking is definitely recommended to get im. The place was packed even at 2pm.

This breakfast was amazing and the staff were so lovely. We visited on a Saturday so it was quite busy. But if you don't mind the wait then I would say it is well worth it. Absolutely delicious. Definitely book in advance
