The Credaro family first settled in Margaret River in 1922 as a pioneering family to the region, after migrating from Northern Italy. Initially involved in farming and the timber industry, small plots of vines were planted to provide the family with table wine.

Cesaré Credaro was the first generation of the family to reside in the area of Margaret River and he worked in the one of the first vineyards in the region. Though it no longer exists today, it was a five acre vineyard that was established around 1915, near Commonage Road. He would work on this property whenever possible, between his farming and timber interests.

With the help of the family, Cesaré took some cuttings from the Yallingup vineyard where he worked and planted an acre of the Fragola at home in Carbunup River. The family would make a parcel of wine every year, for themselves and the neighbouring families, and is still made today as our Ereditá Fragola.

Nowadays, the family manages 120 hectares of vines in the sub-regions of Carbunup River, Treeton, Yallingup and Wilyabrup. The team identifies the best parcels of fruit from selected vineyards owned and managed by the family, utilising a range of fruit from the vineyards at affordable prices.

Nicely presented winery with suitably friendly hosts. However, we weren’t able to purchase the wine we came for unless we joined their wine club. We did not wish to do so, and despite our best efforts we were refused. Tasting menu is pricey ($15pp basic, $20 premium), and the two of our party who did the tasting menu didn’t like any of the wines, noting they were too acidic and lacked complexity. That said, taste is a personal preference, and I’m sure there are some nice wines to be had here.

My parents just arrived from Italy and this was our first winery. I have to say that the Wine is wonderful, and Steve, the host is simply the best. Mum and Dad are very impressed with the kindness and welcoming. We will see you again. Thank you so much

Beautiful venue!!! Love the whites and bought a few; the reds I was not a fan of but obviously tastes vary!! The girl who did our tasting was lovely and knew a fair bit about the family history which was lovely to hear. Beautiful stunning grounds and a lovely possible wedding venue. I am shocked the place was empty apart from us and a small group. People are missing out. I even asked if you could order a cheese platter etc because the view is something else however there was no menu. $20 per tasting was a bit much however and I was shocked but this was comped as we bought wines!

This winery is not to be missed! The wine and company was exceptional, with wonderful Steve at the helm. Sitting out on the porch, pounding Sangiovese and taking in the vines is a 20/10 experience. Would have been 25/10 if it wasn’t for Rhys but these things can’t be helped.
