Margaret River & Great Southern wine specialists, producing the Howard Park, MadFish & Marchand & Burch wine labels. One of a handful of wineries in the region handcrafting champagne method sparkling wine in-house.
Proudly owned by the Burch Family, Howard Park is one of two wineries in the region that make champagne method sparkling wines in-house, with up to four different sparklings to try.

Howard Park was founded in 1986, one of the pioneering wineries of the Great Southern wine-making region. With vineyards in Margaret River, the Great Southern and Pemberton, they offer a unique & educational multi-regional approach to their wine tastings.

Their MadFish wines have been inspired by Western Australia’s coastal lifestyle since 1992. These include an ever-evolving line-up of small-batch alternative varieties made in experimental styles exclusive to the cellar door.

The building is one of the foremost examples of architecture in the Margaret River region, awarded for its Feng Shui design & judged among Australia’s top 12 buildings. Set on 138 hectares of vines & native bushland, less than 5 minutes from the town of Cowaramup, the property is a spectacular place to witness the changing seasons. The winding tree-lined driveway passes a traditional old settlers' cottage & the famous Willyabrup Creek on its way to the cellar door.

The cellar door is surrounded by spacious lawn areas,  where you are invited to bring a picnic, borrow a blanket & a bocce set & enjoy a glass of wine under the sun - or join one of the many events hosted at the cellar door throughout the year. In winter, you can cosy up inside on the couches with a wine by the fire.

The team at Howard Park & Madfish Wines look forward to welcoming you.  Whether you go there to taste, learn, or indulge, the cellar door team will tailor your visit for a truly memorable experience.

One of our favourite wineries and a regular stop when down South. The wines are of good quality, and there’s always a Mad Fish wines special to be had for those keen to grab a bargain. We often pick up a carton of cheap (but enjoyable) Shiraz, though this time the special allowed for a bit more of a selection at just $150 for a carton. We’ve always found the hosts to be welcoming and conversational. This time around they were from Leicester and British Columbia. Tastings $10. Plenty of room outdoors to enjoy a bit to eat and for the kids to run around. The koi pond is popular with little ones, just keep an eye on them as it’s not fenced off. While very shallow, it’s deep enough to cause a problem for a young toddler or crawler. One of the better Margaret River wineries in my opinion.

Absolutely fabulous time at Howard Park. Frenchman I think Nathan was very polite, courteous and answered all our questions. A great friendly guy. Was superb and very pleasurable tastings.

Easily the number 1 winery we have ever been to. The women here made our wine tasting experience the best we have ever had. Very knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble and their sense of humour and personalities did the business proud! Their Jete Sparkling is the best sparkling we have ever had. Needless to say we left buying plenty from here.

A class above the rest. The service from the manage and staff was exceptional - welcoming, friendly, accommodating and genuine. Absolutely loved the wines here they are top quality. The cathedral-like building is brilliantly balanced with a homely type feel. There is an open Piano for any brave musicians and toys for the kids to play with. Most importantly our children were just as welcome and encouraged to feed the big fish. There is plenty of picturesque open space and lush greenery to enjoy after a tasting. Highly recommend !
