I booked a group of 30 people for a confernece at Caves house and was blown away by everththing. The rooms in the old hotel and the arparment were well equipped , clean and comfortable. The conference facilties and spacious and charming. The food throughout was delicious and plentiful. Highly reccomend the smoked meats and sides platter for large groups. The kitchen also catered to all dietaries fantasically. The most impressive of all were the staff. Joyce the function manager was absolutley fantastic and so accomodating. Her staff were also the friendlisest most hard working bunch, and an absoloute credit to Caves House. The Intertek Minerals group enjoyed it so much we are thinking of making this an annual event in our calendar.

We had our wedding at Caves House and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. We held our ceremony, sundowner and reception all in the one location, which made the day incredibly convenient. Being able to get ready on site and stay the night as well was a huge bonus. The location is absolutely beautiful, with so many stunning spots for photos. The gardens are gorgeous and the hotel itself has so much character. The food and drinks packages made catering completely stress-free, and everything was delicious. The Functions Manager, Joyce, was fantastic and ensured the entire day ran smoothly. Communication with her was easy throughout the whole process - she was always happy to help, answer any questions, and liaise with our other vendors to make sure everything went according to plan. She was not only extremely organised but also genuinely kind, which made the wedding planning process much more enjoyable. The staff during the sundowner and reception were also amazing and carefully packed away all of our personal belongings at the end of the night. We are absolutely thrilled with how our wedding turned out and have Caves House to thank for such a perfect day.

There needs to be another category above for Meals. The setting is gorgeous and the room I have is are a great size, but I was sorely disappointed with the meal. I originally ordered the tuna poke bowl and the tuna tasted like it had been frozen with a slight searing. The manager assured me it’s not frozen, but it was too cold to taste any flavour. She offered to organise another meal and suggested the barramundi. I went with her suggestion only to be told I had to pay an addition $10. I was not impressed. When the barramundi came out it looked great, but the fish was over cooked and also had no flavour. What they charge for the lack of quality is insane. While the location is lovely, just enjoy a drink and skip the food. I hope I don’t have to amend this review as I’m drafting it before I stay the night….

Wish I could give this place 5 stars. The venue and location are amazing. But whoever is running the kitchen needs a kick up the backside. We had a medium group and everyone was disappointed. The kids sushi was barely edible. Tasted like frozen compressed rice. The parmi was soggy. Tasted like a McCains frozen meal. The bbq mushroom was swimming in puddle of soy sauce with mayo mixed in, and the pizza bases were tough, started frozen and had way too much cheese. Need to send in Gordon Ramsay to fix things up. The building and atmosphere is beautiful. The staff were nice. But I’d never pay for food there again. Maybe a picnic at the beach and a couple of beers here afterwards..
