Firetail & Roje Estate Wines

The red-eared Firetail, along with Roje Estates wines, is of uncommon status. Unique to the southwest of Western Australia, Firetail nests by meandering creeks amongst the Jarrah, Marri and Tuart forests. Firetail can be identified by its brilliant colour and floating voice. Produced in a select clutch annually, Firetail nestlings have intricate palate and tongue patterns. Firetail, of independent character, enjoys life singly, in pairs or with family parties.

Vineyard & Cellar Door

Roje Estates are tree-changer owned small vineyards in Rosa Glen, producing delightful wines from 30 year old vines. The Firetail cellar door is set amongst the trees and offers close views of the vines and local birdlife. Do drop in to meet either Rob or Jessica, taste their wines, refresh with a tea or coffee and enjoy the space.

If you are going to stop at just one winery for a tasting .. stop here. The wines are all lovely, the atmosphere of the place is very much a small, family owned winery that makes great wines that are exceptionally good value for money. The cute dog and young chickens are just a bonus. Dessert wine is one of the nicest I have ever tasted, very special taste.

Fantastic winery to visit in the Margaret River region, Western Australia. Passionate couple who knows a tonne about their wines and are directly involved in every step of the process. They are even able to advise on the taste notes based on the weather and growing season of the year. Of course, the cute Samoyed Elsa stole the show and was a great hit with the family, greeting us from our car door to the bar counter. Selection of wine are fantastic with a range of reds, whites, sparkling and dessert wines. Our favourite has to be the dessert wine and the Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2018 as we're able to taste the complex notes without the strong alcohol masking. We also appreciate that this is a family business and we're directly supporting their great work! We are proud and happy to say that we maxed out our alcohol allowance for our trip back to Singapore and will be the only winery we visit this time around to Perth. Kudos to the cellar and the good folks.

Just had a quick pop in and what a nice place. So peaceful, beautiful and Elsa (the puppy) is the best! The kids loved her! We loves the wine. Win win.

We finally got to Firetail. After many visits to the region. Such a great tasting and conversation about the history of Firetail and how the owners landed on such a fabulous compromise, living here. Highly recommended.
