Idée Fixe (pronounced ee-dey feeks) is a contemporary Margaret River estate devoted exclusively to Méthode Traditionnelle Blanc de Blancs. Located five minutes south of Margaret River town, the estate brings together more than 40 years of traditional-method expertise within striking architecture and thoughtfully curated grounds.

At the heart of the estate is the Salon, where guests can enjoy two guided tasting experiences and gain rare insight into blanc de blancs winemaking. The experience continues in the Courtyard, where guests can settle in with a glass (or bottle) of their favourite Idée Fixe and a selection of chef-designed small bites. One of only a handful of estates of its kind in Australia, Idée Fixe offers a focused expression of one of the country’s most compelling terroirs.

Walk-ins welcome.

Such a great experience at Idée Fixe. The venue is stunning, the wines were excellent and the whole tasting was relaxed, interesting and really well done. Andreas was a fantastic host and easily one of the most knowledgeable we’ve come across. He knew his stuff, answered every random question we threw at him and made the whole tasting informative without ever making it feel too serious or over the top. We really enjoyed learning more about the concept behind Idée Fixe and what they’re doing, all while working our way through some seriously good bubbles. Definitely one to add to the Margaret River list. Great wines, a beautiful spot and a genuinely enjoyable tasting experience. We’ll definitely be back.
