Southwest Heritage Festival Seminar | Arts Margaret River

History and heritage buffs will be delighted with the theme of ‘Underground’ for this years Southwest Heritage Festival.

Take a deep dive into Wadandi culture with traditional custodian Zac Webb and archeologist Joe Dortch in conversation around Devils Lair and other speleological treasures.

Bill Bunbury will host a panel of leading lights in the agricultural industry exploring the history of this region, from dairy to viticulture, and what makes it all work – the soil and the land. 

The Heritage Skills Association with Yolanda Cool at the helm will take us into the history of building skills in the area and conversations with community in caring for these places, with stonemason Bec Wiley providing a demonstration and workshop.

Doors will open at 10.30 am for a cup of tea and to get settled, with Zac Webb welcoming us all at 11 am. A light lunch will be provided. This is a free community event with Arts Margaret River but booking is essential.
