An evening with feature artist – Silva Busetto
Experience the magic of the everyday with ‘Journeys Home – Stories from Afar’ – the latest series of works from accomplished local artist, Silvia Busetto, featured at the Voyager Estate Cellar Door this April and May.
Silvia vividly reimagines the fleeting moments of life in Italy – think Vespas double-parked on cobbled streets, nonne (grandmas) gossiping at the markets with their trollies of fresh produce, and nonni (grandads) enjoying a spritz or gelato at the local bar. With her delicate, yet expressive approach to watercolour, she draws viewers into a whimsical world that celebrates the extraordinary in the ordinary.
“When people find themselves in front of my paintings, I like to think that a “start film” button clicks inside of them, and that their imagination takes them to experience the emotions of that real life moment captured through pigment, there, on the paper” – Silvia Busetto.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet Silvia and delve deeper into her fascinating creative process, as they journey through a curated exhibition featuring iconic works and brand-new creations. Tickets also include a glass of Voyager Estate wine on arrival and a selection of delicious canapés from our award-winning culinary team.
Doors open 6pm with opening address at 6.30pm. Finish 8pm.
Italian-born artist Silvia Busetto made Western Australia’s stunning South West her home just over eight years ago. Her arrival in artistically and culturally active Margaret River reignited a long-held passion for painting and photography, encouraging her to return to the pencils and paintbrushe
