Sunday Sundowner Session

calendar
Sunday, 15th February 2026 - 5:00pm to 7:00pm

Description

The Arts Margaret River Sundowners are an annual series of free family concerts that are well-loved and-well attended.

The Sundowners support local musicians and enable Arts Margaret River to give back to our community, and for the community to be exposed to differing music styles. Importantly, it enables low-income families within the district the opportunity to attend a concert as a family group. Friends and family, some comprising four generations, gather with their picnic on the lawn and delight in the location, ambience and music.

“I think I enjoy these concerts even more than going to the big Leeuwin Concerts. The Sundowners really are for the community to enjoy.” – A local resident.

Blue Metal

Rob Bruce sax, Gary Larkin drums and Kate Telchadder violin have been key members of Graeme Dickinson’s never ending recording session and they are all playing together again and calling themselves Blue Metal for The Sundowner. Rob, Graeme and Gary have been playing the area together and in seperate line ups forever while Kate has been gracing some of the great concert halls around the globe.  All play multiple genre’s of music which they will bring on February 15th.

Olive Mae and Band

Cowaramup’s own Olive Mae has been making her mark on Australia’s festival circuit, performing at major events including the Tamworth Country Music Festival alongside a wide range of festivals nationwide. Her music is unmistakably Australian — blending folk and country influences with rich storytelling and a warm, authentic tone. With her refreshing sound and heartfelt songwriting, Olive Mae is fast becoming one of the most exciting new voices in the country-folk scene.
