Happs Wines is a brand for the people. They fly in the face of convention in terms of how many wines they make and what varieties they make them from. Their pleasure is found in providing a wine for every palate and they have built a portfolio to achieve this. Their cellar door is rustic and welcoming, their smiles are genuine and their customers are loyal. Welcome to Happs.

A visit to Happs Cellar Door offers a range of things to see, do and enjoy. They have an extensive pottery, gallery and gift shop - feel free to browse at your leisure the wonderful handcrafted products. Book yourself in for a pottery workshop when their artists in residence are in town.

They also have a "build-your-own" picnic or platter option at their new Happs Hampers counter adjacent to Cellar Door. Stocked full of local cheeses, olives, charcuterie, crackers, chocolate, dips and much more - spend what you like and eat what you prefer! Grab a picnic blanket and a spot on the lawn or select one of our cafe tables outside under the dramatic shade structure. You can also take any of our delicious Happs Hampers products home with you.

Happs is proud to host many popular events throughout the year, from cooking classes to Sunday Sessions, classical concerts and ballet performances.

The Happs name is synonymous with producing wine. The family name can be traced back to 1849 and a small village called Eltville on the banks of the Rhine in Germany. The name 'Happ' means “the cutter of vines.” Inspired by the 60's promise of great viticultural potential in the Margaret River region, they planted their first vines in Dunsborough in 1978. Since then they have steadfastly pursued the objective of producing fine wines.

We had an awesome experience here! Well worth a visit! The kids enjoyed playing on the rope swings and balancing on the wooden beams. The owners were so friendly the staff were great. The grounds were stunning and the wine varieties were fantastic. Katrina Rex
Beautiful grounds, wide range of wines and ... wait for it - SELF SERVICE WINE TASTING. If you're one of those people who feels dumb when trying to have a conversation with a sommelier while standing awkwardly around a cellar door table, this is a great place for you. Taste wine at your own leisure in the sun! And if you don't like wine, there's a pretty good gallery in the same building! Benjamin Shee
The wine in here is good quality, and you can taste everyone you want. The garden maintains really beautiful Richard Ye
Amazing range of wines, and a fantastic gallery with pottery, artwork and jewelry. It's a must visit for us every time we come down. Plus, resident dogs and cats! Kylie Chrystal
What an amazing experience! My partner and I came for the lovely pottery, and were blown away by the wine. After a lovely meander through the cosy rooms displaying all the gorgeous pottery, we were directed through to the win tasting set up outside and absolutely can't speak highly enough of the experience. Happs has a self-serve set up like I've never seen, with all of their extensive wines arranges on shelving and tapped. You're provided a (generously sized) wine glass, given the rundown on how everything works, and off you go! Convenient little QR codes next to every bottle give you a description of what you're sampling, and you can take your time only trying what you want to (and as much of it as you like) at your own pace! All with a view of the gorgeous sprawling gardens carefully and lovingly maintained by the owners. I will be recommending this place for anyone travelling down south as a MUST. Kalanie Fernando
