Happs Wines is a brand for the people. They fly in the face of convention in terms of how many wines they make and what varieties they make them from. Their pleasure is found in providing a wine for every palate and they have built a portfolio to achieve this. Their cellar door is rustic and welcoming, their smiles are genuine and their customers are loyal. Welcome to Happs.

A visit to Happs Cellar Door offers a range of things to see, do and enjoy. They have an extensive pottery, gallery and gift shop - feel free to browse at your leisure the wonderful handcrafted products. Book yourself in for a pottery workshop when their artists in residence are in town.

They also have a "build-your-own" picnic or platter option at their new Happs Hampers counter adjacent to Cellar Door. Stocked full of local cheeses, olives, charcuterie, crackers, chocolate, dips and much more - spend what you like and eat what you prefer! Grab a picnic blanket and a spot on the lawn or select one of our cafe tables outside under the dramatic shade structure. You can also take any of our delicious Happs Hampers products home with you.

Happs is proud to host many popular events throughout the year, from cooking classes to Sunday Sessions, classical concerts and ballet performances.

The Happs name is synonymous with producing wine. The family name can be traced back to 1849 and a small village called Eltville on the banks of the Rhine in Germany. The name 'Happ' means “the cutter of vines.” Inspired by the 60's promise of great viticultural potential in the Margaret River region, they planted their first vines in Dunsborough in 1978. Since then they have steadfastly pursued the objective of producing fine wines.

The best wine, amazing scenery with beautiful pottery. These guys have their a great community mind. Classes and local artists which is great for the community but also so important. Friendly service and if your lucky you will get to pat the local friendly lab!!!! Rebekah T
Absolutely the best concept! All the wines for tasting are outside and filled with nitrogen, making them stay fresh for longer and you get to go and test them at your own pace. There's so many blends of wines. 42 different wines to try. The environment around is so cosy, absolutely loved this place. 10/10 Neil Vandelay
The best place down south for wine tastings! Outdoor, pour your own, sprinkler mist on a hot day, great setting and an amazing view. Trevor, Teresa and Jen made us feel right at home with no obligation tastings and extensive knowledge of everything on offer. We will be coming back multiple times! K M
Best surprise ever! Charming setting which opens to a welcoming garden where you can taste wines at your leisure (self-service and free tasting). No pressure or selling pitch from friendly staff, makes you comfortable to enjoy and buy their excellent wines. Loved the pottery gallery too. We bought Three Hills Tannat, Very Special Old Muscat and Limette for me. Highly recommend visiting this winery. Thanks. Margarita
