More informationSt Thomas More Catholic Church is a beautiful example of a rammed earth building that has been constructed using local supplies by the Margaret River community. The unique design compliments its rural location beautifully, and it is this uniqueness that attracts thousands of visitors each year. Wander through the attractive place of worship admiring the stained glass windows and use of local timber throughout. Visitors are welcome to attend mass on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday mornings and Thursday and Saturday evenings.
Lovely Church. Pleasant parish priest and locals welcoming. Nice interior with well sculpted statues.
Because I have 4 grand children there, it is a happy school I love going to any functions they have, award days, and today my Maxie got an award. SENSATIONAL. Just been to the interschool sports day, and for a smaller school they did wonderfully well, and my Henry was a 🌟, no bias of course. Well done to the wonderful staff, one of whom is my daughter. Again no bias.
Wonderful place to gather and worship
An inspiring story re building as it was a whole community effort, not just parishioners. Many were volunteers, donating time and materials. Well done to the people of Margs from the 80's! We now have an heritage listed building. Thank you to the Margies!
The church has a nice design with a history- Thanks to Velma for explaining its history and the significance of its building method: a rammed earth building built with all local materials, and supported by all the local community. It has a beautiful interior with a very comfortable Aussie wooden feel and ambience. 👍
