Established in 1992 in the idyllic Karridale region of southern Margaret River, the vineyard stands as a testament to the perfect marriage of a moderate maritime climate and prime gravelly loam soils. Nestled on a north-facing ridge, the unique property is one of Margaret River's most picturesque vineyards, offering a canvas for crafting exceptional wines.

Hamelin Bay's Whites, strategically positioned on a cool Easterly slope, draw their essence from soils ranging from prized Forest Grove gravels to Karri loams. Meanwhile, the Reds bask in the warmth of a North-facing slope beneath the cellar door, rooted in deep, dark gravel loams. Whether White or Red, each wine exudes distinct characteristics specific to its variety, block, and site—Whites embody freshness and elegance, while Reds boast restrained power and depth. 

From the first vintage, Hamelin Bay Wines has garnered accolades, a testament to the outstanding terroir influenced by perfect gravel soils, select aspects, and a cool moderate maritime microclimate. What a wonderful experience! I visited over a month ago, and I’m still thinking about the amazing service and expertise provided by Evie. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the service is truly top-tier. They even offer vegan options—it’s best to call ahead so they can be prepared. A huge thank you to Evie for taking us on such a fantastic wine journey. The experience was memorable from start to finish. And importantly, did I mention the wines are exceptional too? Highly recommended!
