With a range of options from standard to superior to suit couples and families of up to eight people, there really is something for everyone.

Situated on the edge of town, the cottages are set on twelve and a half acres of attractive parkland adjoining a natural reserve comprising a number of walk trails perfect for exploring the myriad of wildflowers in season. If you are lucky you may chance upon one of the many kangaroos that live in the nearby bushland.

Most guests tend to start and finish their days making the most of Margaret River Holiday Cottages facilities, whether it’s bushwalking or watching your kids meet other kids in the playground for playtime. The complex has been created with the enjoyment of guests in mind and also houses an indoor solar heated pool, pool table, table tennis, a collection of family board games and an undercover barbecue area, perfect for balmy evenings.

Wow, what an incredible trip! We just left after five fabulous days at Margaret River Holiday Cottages. We stayed in cottage 3 which was just perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults, almost 3yo and 9mo) as we looked directly onto the kids play area which my eldest loved. The cottage was just right for what we needed, comfortable, clean and a good size. The team couldn’t have been more welcoming, from the brilliant pre arrival comms with Lisa, the welcome on site and each day the enthusiasm and warmth from the whole team. The daily animal feedings were the absolute highlight! Watching my eldest son grow in confidence each day was wonderful. The team are so accommodating and encouraging and knew when to gently encourage my son or help him feel more confident with the animals. For me personally the morning snuggles with the baby kangaroos was just magical! We even got to witness two baby goats just being born! The daily truck rides were also great fun and my son is now in the car on repeat asking for more truck rides! There’s lots of lovely spots nearby to go and explore and the local town has everything you need. We loved exploring Dunsborough, Yallingop, Meelup beach and Hamelin Bay - all around a 30-40 minute drive from the cottages. A big thank you to Marissa, Celia, Jarrod, Lisa and whole team for making our stay so wonderful. Cannot recommend this place enough.

We had an AMAZING time! It was our first time staying at a farm, big group of 5 adults, 2 kids and a toddler and we stayed at the Gumnut resort. Everything was just amazing. We drove in just before sunset and definitely was not expecting driving to see animals roaming around. What a wonderful surprise. The kids loved feeding the animals every morning, the movie night, the tractor ride, swimming pool and the play area around the compound. Our house was amazing too, super comfortable, clean and I mean how can you beat opening the curtain and seeing wild Kangaroos. Location is also amazing, 3 minutes to town, 5 minutes to famous wineries and very short driving distances to places of interest. My husband especially loved his trail run with Andrew who kindly brought him along a couple of times. Overall we had a great stay, want to come back and for sure will be recommending this place to others.

We had a fantastic 5 day stay with other families. I can't speak highly enough about this place and its staff. The location is beautiful, and the set up is perfect for a holiday with young children. It's really well run but has a relaxing vibe. The kids loved playing with all the animals. The staff members were very friendly and engaging with the kids, especially for the morning animal feeding and rides. The pool was perfect for an afternoon wind down activity. The outdoor movie session was also a lovely touch. I highly recommend this place for a family holiday, particularly for a group of families.

We had a wonderful 2 nights and 3 days (20-22 Dec 2025) stay at Margaret River Holiday Cottages with my family. The cottages were clean, comfortable, and very well maintained, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The peaceful surroundings and beautiful natural setting were perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together. The location was ideal close enough to explore nearby attractions, yet quiet and serene for a restful getaway. The kids especially loved the open space with animals and the overall family friendly atmosphere. It was a short stay, but truly refreshing, and we left with lovely memories. Highly recommend Margaret River Holiday Cottages for families looking for a comfortable and relaxing escape.
