Stormflower Vineyard

Sustainable farming is an integral part of the Stormflower philosophy. They pay great attention to the health of the soil, and this results in a vineyard that is a healthy, bio diverse and resilient system. The vineyard has gone through many changes since they bought it in 2007. They began with a transition to organic composts and natural soil biology stimulants and minimising the use of chemicals. They gradually moved the vineyard to a fully organic system, and achieved full organic certification in 2016. 
They ensure that their viticultural and winemaking practices are as gentle on the environment as they can be, and they focus on regenerating and working with their natural ecosystems. Maintaining organic certification is a way of providing independent assurance to their customers and supporters that they practice what they preach. It is important to them that they are transparent about their activities in the vineyard and in the winery, because what they do affects more than just their immediate surroundings. 

Their minimalist, sustainable philosophy extends to their cellar door. A relaxed, understated, natural space in which to sit back and enjoy their wine and their surroundings. Their tasting table and their sales counter are made from one of the Marri trees that blew down outside the cellar door during a storm in 2013. Their cellar door has been set up to taste their wines as they like to enjoy them, sitting at a table or in a comfortable chair in an environment that is simple, welcoming and unhurried. They welcome all visitors to explore their wines, their cellar door and their gardens. The gardens are perfect for a picnic (rugs provided) and to enjoy a glass of wine. They have a fantastic Pantry of Temptation.
