The final event of Nature Conservation’s River Celebration Month!

Make a splash and join this 1-hour Wooditjup Bilya Cultural Paddle on Sunday 22 March, guided by traditional owner Zac Webb from Undalup Association and co-hosted by Josh Palmateer from Margaret River Kayaks and Canoes.

You will paddle a kayak upstream from the Margaret River mouth to discover the river’s natural beauty, unique stories and ecological and cultural importance. There are two sessions with numbers capped at 30 people and tickets priced at $35 each:

  • 8am-9am
  • 10am-11am

Please note, this event is only open to children aged 16 and above who have purchased a ticket. Kayak and life jacket provided.

Please bring water and sun protection.

Meet at Margaret River Kayaks and Canoes trailer next to the toilet block and change rooms.

The River Celebration Month is an important part of Nature Conservation’s Protect Wooditjup Bilya project, a four-year program of research, conservation, and community stewardship, supported by the Ian Potter Foundation, the Shire of Augusta Margaret River, the Water Corporation and generous local donors.
