I’m intrigued by the way stillness in nature can change our entire perspective. When you slow down to appreciate your surroundings nature reveals hidden abstract imagery. My work celebrates this concept through my travel across Western Australia. By air where richly intricate eco systems are transformed into clean lines; and by land, appreciating the moment in front of me. Simplicity is always at the heart of my subject matter. I enjoy the challenge of capturing complicated landscapes through paucity of line, accented with spontaneous water colour, powdered pigment, and acrylic mediums.
