Adventure Sailing offers a range of experiences and courses, using a beautiful fleet of sailing vessels around the pristine waters of Busselton Jetty and Geographe Bay, and further afeild. We are a fully accredited sailing school offering: Learn to sail courses, Luxury sailing day charters, Recreational Skippers Tickets, Commercial Maritime training, and Live aboard coastal sailing trips between Geographe Bay and the Abrolhos Islands.

Come and learn to sail with one of Adventure Sailing's accredited instructors, take a luxury day or live-aboard charter, or do some commercial maritime training! Our experienced team of instructors will keep you safe while you discover the joys of sailing and boating.

They are a fully approved Discover Sailing Centre offering Australian Sailing programs and full certification. As well as an International Yacht Training Association commercial maritime training facilitator.

Honestly don’t quite know where to start. Just got back from the Coxswain liveaboard course and can I just say that this course is more than just a course. It is an experience, and personally it was one of the most entertaining and informative periods of time I have ever been a part of. The course itself with Matt and Paul as the captains/instructors, ticked all the right boxes. They were absolutely incredible in the fact that they were very patient with every student and spent the time with each and every one of us to make sure we absorbed the content and walked away fully competent with what we were taught. If we didn’t get something right there were no frustrations, they stuck with us until we got it right and were patient every step of the way. There is no better way to learn than doing it with your hands in real time, real life experience. To compliment the outstanding teaching is the location in which we were learning. I had never been to the Abrolhos Islands before and was absolutely blown away by how amazing the place was, and more to the fact that we got to learn in such a gorgeous location. Before and after study and learning hours, we even had the chance to go for a fish, spearfish, dive, swim or even just putt putt around in the dinghy that lives on the back of Starsand. All in all, this course was more than just about getting your ticket, it was an experience and I speak on behalf of the students on our trip that when I say that we all had such an incredible time and absolutely recommend to ANYONE who is interested in getting their Coxswain ticket. This is the way to do it.

I just came back from their 7 day coxswains liveaboard trip departing from Geraldton and sailing to the Abrohlos Islands for sea time whilst conducting and learning the course onboard and it was hands down the best way you could learn the course. Learning the theory whilst being able to apply that theory in real time being on the water helped to understand the information way better than what could’ve been done solely in a classroom environment. Great food, amazing trainers Paul and Matt, who are patient, kind, incredibly experienced and knowledgeable as well as super considerate with different learning styles and paces. Would recommend to everyone for an experience to remember ☺️

We just had a trip to the abrohlos islands on SV Star Sand and boy did we tick some boxes. Picture perfect anchorages,fascinating history, abundant life above and below the water. Good surfing and food as fresh as it gets straight from the ocean. Matt was great navigating the boat into safe protected moorings and it's a great team effort by all onboard. Everyday something new and plenty of time to sit and read books if that's what you want to do. Such a great mid winter trip.

We've just completed an incredible 3 day "competent crew" course with Paul at Adventure Sailing based in Abbey in the South West. Paul is incredibly knowledgeable, an amazing teacher and gave us the confidence to crew our own yachts in the future. A very relaxing, yet informative three days. Could not recommend this three day course highly enough. Whether you're just starting out in the sailing world (like we are) or a professional sailor looking to hone their skills, Paul has the course for you!
