10 Mile Brook Dam

Access to the dam is via the Rusden Picnic Site off Rosa Brook Road. There is also a 15km walk trail to the dam which starts from Rotary Park in Margaret River.

Ten Mile Brook Dam is a lovely picnic area with a barbeque and two accessible picnic tables. It was named after the tiny brook that was dammed in the mid-1990's to create a new supply of water for the quickly growing Margaret River and other townships.
Nearby there are accessible parking bays and a toilet. The dam is a ten-minute walk from the car park - the track is not accessible for people using mobility devices.

Please note that swimming and water sports are not allowed in the dam due to it being a water catchment area.

This was a lovely rest spot when I cycled to the dam via the Ten Mile Brook Trial from Margaret River. There are no facilities such as toilets or drinking water here and water sports are not allowed as the dam is a water catchment area. Nevertheless, this is a nice place to take a quiet walk and admire the scenery and observe the local wildlife.

A little hidden gem which I'm sure would be a buzz with people during the warmer months. The little blue wrens were worth the visit.

Swimming is prohibited here. Some nice mellow walking and mtb trails around the surrounding area. Worth a visit.
