The Hangout Margaret River – Boulder Climb Play

The Hangout Margaret River aims to create a family-friendly and inclusive environment for the community to “hang out” and share their passion for climbing, playing and simply being connected with like-minded friends.

Bouldering

Whether you're a seasoned boulderer or new to the sport, The Hangout offers multiple routes to suit all abilities from beginner to hardcore, for those aged 4 and up.  Climbers may choose to bring their own climbing shoes or hire a pair.  Chalk and climbing accessories are available to buy. 

The Hangout offers a range of entry options, from casual day passes, to multi-passes and membership options.  Their route-setters are constantly working to ensure a fresh set of “problems” with new challenges set weekly.

Strength and endurance training – For those aged 15 and over, they have an upstairs training area complete with a Moon, Campus and Training Board and gym equipment. 

Play

Alongside the bouldering gym, The Hangout has a soft play area and a ninja zone specifically tailored for kids aged 2 to 12. The play zone is open for casual play from 10 am to 3 pm weekdays and from 9 am to 1 pm Saturdays and Sundays. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times when not participating in classes.

Party bookings can be made for the play zone, with a designated party room for the group.  Please contact the centre directly for party enquiries.

Café 

The café has plenty of seating for those wanting to relax with a cup of barista-crafted coffee or treats to refuel and relax after an exhilarating session of climbing or playtime.
