Hound & Hunter Fine Foods ( WA Truffle Collective) is a Manjimup based, family owned, truffle grower, dog trainer and international sales business. A truffle family with over 10 years experience in all aspects of the truffle industry. A fascinating story in a beautiful location. Discover why truffles have been such an alluring ingredient for thousands of years.
The Booth family are one of Australia’s most experienced truffle families. They have been a part of the Manjimup truffle industry for over a decade; hands on from growing and distribution to dog training and hunting.

As farmers they understand that for chefs, getting truffles at the peak of freshness is paramount. Prized by many of the world's best chefs and restaurateurs for their quality and consistency, their truffles are from the most prolific truffle growing region in the Southern Hemisphere. Within 24-48 hours of being unearthed, you'll have perfectly ripe truffle in your hand, thanks to their worldwide delivery networks. Stringent grading standards mean the weight you purchase is pure black truffle: cleaned, graded and packed with care in their specialist grading facility.

Gavin, Mel and their son Brin, value a place on the land knowing that shortcuts don’t work. Nurturing their soil, trees and environment is key to the perfect truffle. Orchards are a mix of oak and hazelnut trees, on the roots of which the Booth’s nurture black truffle. A team of truffle dogs is a vital part of Australian Truffle Traders; with an uncanny ability to hunt out only the ripest of truffles to be unearthed by hand. Come and join the hunt!

Australian Truffle Traders also sells retail truffles Australia wide via their online shop. They host truffle hunts on their Manjimup truffle orchard for the public and hospitality industry. The Manjimup truffle season is in the Southern Hemisphere winter / Northern Hemisphere summer. Australian Black Truffle Season: May to September

The best in town, the food here is delicious, lots of variety and different flavours. Truly some very talented people who work here put together some absolutely amazing food. If you’ve ever wanted to try truffle this is the place. Friendly and inviting staff who are well informed about each of the unique creations you’re about to indulge in. Many other food items also sold in the store so you can take your Hound & Hunter experience home with you where ever that might be.

Recently opened - the Hound & Hunter is a terrific addition to Manjimup’s dinning/baker/coffee options… Featuring quality sour-dough breads, local produce, healthy drinks, pastries, toasties, cakes etc - mostly made in-house. Sadly the coffee did not hit the mark. Additionally the surrounds could do with some work to create a more inviting vibe… Overall - awesome, huge potential and adds strongly to the Great Southern culinary experience.

Stopped by this place for a late morning coffee and bite while en route from Denmark to Perth in Western Australia. I had the best Banh Mi so far - with the crusty sourdough baguette and tender and crispy pork belly. The Portuguese tart here is unique in its own way and tastes superb. I ordered a Long Black and the friendly staff gave me an extra shot to add on. It’s the best cafe experience in my recent memory. A brief and extremely satisfying stopover.

Some foods are available to try before you buy. Take advantage of this to expel any preconceived ideas of what flavours you might think ‘just don’t work’ - as these guys know what works together! I had zero intentions of buying ice cream with olive oil in the title, but you pair that with lemon and rosemary and OMG, I’ve not ever tasted an ice cream so delicious! So many other delicious goods to buy. We had only stopped to buy pate!… $88 later. Everything is so delicious!😋
