Small boutique vineyard producing award-winning wines in the beautiful Smiths Beach Valley.
To the south of Cape Naturaliste, in a picturesque valley behind Smiths Beach, lies Cape Naturaliste Vineyard. Overlooking the valley is a 19th Century stone inn. Once the staging point for the coaches on the Perth to Margaret River route, the now renovated inn provides a delightful backdrop to the vineyard. The property became a dairy farm in the late 1800's and the old stone milking shed is now the cellar door.

Cape Naturaliste Vineyard was planted in 1997 by the owner, Craig Brent-White, who purchased the land in 1980. Craig and his wife Jennifer oversee and carry out the day to day operations of the vineyard to this day. Their passion and dedication ensures the highest quality in both wines and service.

Their approach is based on biodynamics, and they endeavour to use organic techniques and products wherever possible. They use sea-based fertilisers that are tailor made to suit their vines. The emulsion is undiluted and contains all the essential elements and nutrients their vines require. They also apply NASAA-accredited, certified organic compost to improve soil health and ultimately to assist them in producing premium quality fruit.

Dogs are always welcome at the cellar door, and every dog that visits is given a treat and photographed for the ever-growing Dogs of Cape Nat Vineyard wall of fame.

Really Lovely personal Winery ☀️💯. Lovely range of tastings on the menu. The sparkling Shiraz a unique favourite! Great knowledge by Jen and personal experience given to us on our spur of the moment visit. Enjoyed lazing out in the sun 🌞 Thanks for having us! 10/10 recommend to people passing by ! 👏🏼🍷

Immediately felt comfortable and relaxed when we entered this family run vineyard. Love the selection of whites and the sparkling shiraz. The owners were lovely and we had a great time!

We absolutely loved our visit to Cape Naturaliste Vineyard — so much so that we came back the very next day so Mollie could play with Barney. The vibe here is relaxed, welcoming and beautifully dog friendly, which makes it an easy favourite for anyone travelling with dogs. Our heeler, Mollie, was allowed inside the cellar door with us. She got her own Polaroid photo taken and added to the famous dog wall. The wines are fantastic (the views over the vines and flower beds don’t hurt either!). It’s rare to find a cellar door that caters so well to both humans and pups. A must-visit in the South West — we’ll be recommending it to every dog-loving traveller we meet! Our highlight from the area🍷🐶💛

Deb , the cellar manager was outstanding during our wine tasting experience. It was one of the best wine tasting we have ever done! The thought , care and banter we had with Deb was truly memorable. Highly recommend visiting this beautiful winery.
