Fermoy Estate

Fermoy Estate is a celebrated winery nestled in the heart of the Wilyabrup subregion of Margaret River, Western Australia. Established in 1985, the estate has quietly built a strong reputation for crafting elegant, expressive wines that truly reflect the unique terroir of this renowned wine region. 

From vine to bottle, attention to quality is central to everything Fermoy does. The winery sits amidst its own vineyards on Metricup Road, where cool sea breezes and well-drained gravel soils support classic Margaret River varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Shiraz. Under the stewardship of senior winemaker Jeremy Hodgson, traditional techniques are thoughtfully balanced with modern insight to create wines of finesse and place. 

Visitors are welcomed into Fermoy’s warm and inviting cellar door, set against a backdrop of vineyards. Tastings are relaxed and personalised, giving you the chance to explore a range of current release wines at your own pace. Whether you’re savouring a beautifully structured Cabernet, a bright Fume Blanc or a refined Chardonnay, the friendly team are on hand to share their stories and insights. 

There’s a genuine sense of place at Fermoy, from its idyllic lawn picnic spots and dog-friendly outdoor areas to the quiet charm of its salmon-coloured cellar door building. Same day walk-ins are welcome, subject to availability, and the estate also offers vineyard accommodation for those wanting to linger longer in Margaret River wine country.
