Passel Estate is a very small, family-owned vineyard in the heart of Margaret River, with an emphasis on exceptional wine and nature conservation at its heart. The Estate's wines are a rare discovery: volumes made are small, given the quality-driven low yields and single-vineyard focus. The Estate has been awarded 5-star winery status by James Halliday, included in The Real Review Top Wineries of Australia and winner of Best Tasting Experience and Best Small Cellar Door in Margaret River by Gourmet Traveller Wine Magazine. Choose from a selection of guided wine experiences to ensure your visit is one to remember.
Start your journey at the contemporary tasting room, featuring floor to ceiling glass on three sides to guarantee an intimate connection with the surrounding vines and natural bushland sanctuary. Take your pick from a selection of carefully designed experiences, that will fully immerse guests in the beauty and magic of the estate and its award-winning wines.

Randomly stopped here on a winter Wednesday afternoon. A beautiful setting and a gracious host made for a lovely 45min wine tasting experience. I learnt a Passel is a group of possums and that small, environmentally friendly wineries still exist in this part of the world. And the wines were lovely too. Less generic than the big name establishments. Will be back for a chocolate and wine experience!

A first visit to Passel Estate having been at the excellent Edwards wines next door. Very quiet and allowed for a relaxing tasting and a full meat and cheese board for lunch. I appreciate why vineyards introduced a tasting fee. And usually purchase everywhere we go. We didn't buy wine this time but I would have thought the $52 for the lunch would have qualified for (at least) one tasting fee waived. But to no avail.

Greeting from Toby the enthusiastic winery dog? Check. Great service and fab recommendations for other local businesses? Check. The best Shiraz and Chardonnay we've ever tasted? Check. We walked away from our wine and cheese pairing with three bottles of truly gorgeous wine and a new appreciation for the dairy delicacies of Nannup. I'd highly recommend Passel for the wine alone. The fact that they rescue endangered possums is the cherry on top.

Boutique winery that I visited the first time. The exclusive settings might make dome people uncomfortable I loved it. It's a dog friendly winery and a nice outdoor area. Wines were on a pricier end with reserves ranging from 75 for the chardonnay to 97 for a syrah. Tasting is $10 plus $10 for reserve tasting. Downer I bought a bottle of chardonnay for $43, and was still charged the reserve tasting. My partner was also charged the tasting fee. That left a sour taste...
