Willespie is one of the original vineyards in the Margaret River region. Located in the Wilyabrup 'golden triangle', Willespie produces premium, dry gown, bottle aged wine.

In 1976, then schoolteachers Kevin and Marian Squance planted a tiny vineyard in Wilyabrup with Verdelho, Semillon, Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyard site was selected for its French-like qualities; particularly the layered, well-draining gravel soils which are perfect for premium viticulture. The name Willespie blends the region Wilyabrup and the French word esperé meaning 'to hope'.

Nearly 50 years on Willespie Estate remains one of Margaret River's most prestigious, boutique producers.

Willespie produce wines that reflect the vineyard’s terroir, the sunshine hours and the natural rainfall of the region.

Modern viticultural practices and minimalist winemaking intervention ensure that the wine in the bottle expresses the intense varietal fruit characteristics that combine to create Willespie premium wines.

Nestled amongst the picturesque setting of expansive vineyards, rolling hills and natural bushland, the cellar door is built from stone and timber sourced from the property.

Boutique winery offering diverse range of reds, whites, rose and fortified wines made in old school style. Wine tasting was informative and relaxed. View from deck across Valley is stunning. There's a range of artwork on sale, but no food at this establishment.

Came by because some of their wines have a high rating on Vivino. Tried a flight of wine and got the Shiraz 2018 and Carb Sauv 2013. The shiraz was my favourite. Bold in flavours and fruitiness. Their wines specialise with a hint of chalkiness that apparently comes from the particular region its grown in. Jo was really friendly and helpful in explaining all the wines during the testing. The wine tasting is free if you buy a bottle from them.

Had an amazing time tasting, learning and buying a variety of wines to take home. Anthony was incredibly knowledgeable and provided amazing service. I'll definitely be back next time.

Tanya is an AMAZING person! She took the time to explain each and every wine to us girls, and the wines went down so smoothly 😍 full-bodied, warm and comforting is the best way to go in winter! Thanks so much for having us as the last customers for today Tanya and Nathan - we appreciate it heaps!! Getting pats with Oscar the doggo was an extra treat for us 😍
