With three great tours to choose from, you can SEE the spectacular sights of Geographe Bay, wildflowers and whales in season, the rugged West Coast, and plenty of wildlife. TASTE the local produce, with all tours including refreshments, or DISCOVER nocturnal native animals. Families are welcome on all tours.

South West Eco Discoveries is passionate about providing tours that showcase the beautiful marine and terrestrial environment, critically endangered native wildlife, premium wines, and local produce that can be found in this very special area. Experience iconic locations and amazing wildlife encounters with friendly local guides.

What can you discover on their tours? It might be dolphins playing in the waves, whales frolicking metres from shore, carpets of wildflowers or a rare orchid in a hidden spot, large mobs of kangaroos, endangered nocturnal animals putting on a show or reptiles sunning themselves – every tour has unique wildlife encounters.

Tours run daily and can also be booked as private charters for 1-12 persons.

We are not new to this tour, but we never tire of it. Every time we visit Margaret River with family or friends, we always recommend Mick and Ryan’s Nocturnal Walk. They are a wealth of knowledge, incredibly respectful of the wildlife, aboriginal culture and create such an engaging experience for all ages. We’ve done this tour several times with our children from aged 1 - 18 who says , its his favourite part of Margaret river. An absolute must do

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was my second time doing the nocturnal tour with South West Eco Discoveries, and honestly it felt like my first time all over again. Every tour is such a unique experience and I learnt so much about the bush, star constellations, arachnids, and marsupials — and even got to pat a few 😊 A special mention to our tour guide Ryan, who was absolutely fantastic. His professionalism, knowledge, and passion for the environment really stood out. He made everyone feel safe and confident navigating through the bush at night, while still keeping the tour engaging, educational, and fun. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the South West. It’s such a beautiful way to connect with nature and appreciate the incredible wildlife. A wonderful family-owned business that truly strives to give you a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The best thing you can do in WA (probably in Australia)! This has been hands down the best tour/activity we have ever done on holidays! Our guide, Ryan, was so knowledgeable, friendly and fun! We got to see so much of the South-West from the pristine coastline, to the amazing wildlife, all the while being informed by a guide with SO MUCH local knowledge!! The local produce that we got to taste was amazing and should not be missed! Seriously, if you have a short stay in Busselton (eg. Tour ship stop, quick weekend WA visit), this should be the only activity you book! Well worth it and true value for money! Well done Ryan and the whole team and manu thanks for a memorable experience!!

Can’t recommend this more! The nocturnal animal tour was “20 times better than expected” according to another family on our tour (which we agreed with. The animals like kangaroos, bandicoots and possums came so close. We had an impromptu star gazing tour as well. Mick and Ryan are knowledgeable, fun, and responsive to the kids’ many questions. They serve hot chocolate and cookies, too. Definitely do it.
