"Gralyn Estate has established a high reputation for its wines. The age of the vines and the site are significant factors." James Halliday
Gralyn Estate opened the region's first cellar door in 1978. The Estate is recognised as one of Australia's most prestigious boutique wineries, having been awarded numerous gold medals and trophies at national and international wine shows. Today's modern tasting room is a popular tourist destination situated on Caves Road Wilyabrup, in the heart of the Margaret River wine region.

Gralyn produces both dry and sweet wines and pioneered the region's first port styles. The Estate is family owned and operated and wines can only be purchased from their Cellar Door or their website. Visitors are welcome to taste the full range of wines free of charge and learn about the grapes and wine-making from the knowledgeable and friendly staff.

An immersive tasting experience
Behind the scenes at one of the first names in Margaret River wine. Annette and Scott Baxter lead small group experiences across their Caves Road vineyard and winery, taking visitors from grape to glass.

Showcasing Gralyn Estate’s long heritage producing premium wines, these limited availability ninety-minute experiences conclude in Gralyn Cellars, the estate’s original cellar door and the first of its kind in Margaret River. Opened back in 1978 this space is normally closed to the public and this is a rare opportunity to experience a piece of the region’s wine history.

"One of the finest Cabernet Sauvignons I have ever tasted from Margaret River."
Robert M. Parker Jr. The Wine Advocate

"Seamless, pure and a joy to drink" - 98 Points
Decanter Magazine has recently classified the Gralyn Reserve Chardonnay as exceptional.

"With a total of 10 trophies and counting, the Gralyn Artizan Rare Muscat is regarded as one of Australia’s best fortified wines."
Australia & New Zealand Boutique Wine Awards 2020

"Graham and Merilyn Hutton's story is one of perseverance and self belief. The vineyard was planted in 1975 as a diversification to their beef farming. Today they have well and truly found a niche at the top end of premium producers in Margaret River."

Definitely a highlight for me was visiting Gralyn Estate. I do love a fortified wine so if you do too, I highly recommend you stop in. Staff are lovely, informative and friendly and the tastings are actually FREE which is nice for a change. Very happy with my purchases and enjoyed the fact I could taste them all before buying. They are celebrating their 50 year anniversary so was very special to be visiting during this time. The wife has painted several pictures some of which they have used for the labels of the fortified wines. Looks wonderful and the wines were lovely to sample too. Highly recommend Gralyn Estate.

OMG! If it’s flavour you desire then Gralyn Estate packs the hugest punch as far as wine tasting goes. The Cellar Door staff & setting ✅ outstanding, what an atmosphere 👌Wine Maker Annette Scott has a pallet that takes you on a festive journey with her stunning range. In my opinion, this would be the best experience I’ve ever encountered at any winery ever thus far & is going to be hard to top. Let this secret out!

Stopped on our way to Hamelin Bay for a winter getaway and planned to stop along the way to pick up some Port and Muscat. We sampled almost all the range and we actually loved all of them so the choice was hard at the end but we ticked each one off as we went. The lovely lady Lexy serving was very good at explaining everything and the history of the vineyard. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy top quality wine. Put it on your to do list for sure.

Incredible and extensive wine tasting for free by lovely staff. We didn’t plan on buying something but you can’t leave without buying because it’s so delicious. Updating my review: we went to about 10 more wineries after this one and none of them came close in terms of wine taste!
