Gralyn Estate opened the region's first cellar door in 1978. The Estate is recognised as one of Australia's most prestigious boutique wineries, having been awarded numerous gold medals and trophies at national and international wine shows. Today's modern tasting room is a popular tourist destination situated on Caves Road Wilyabrup, in the heart of the Margaret River wine region.
Gralyn produces both dry and sweet wines and pioneered the region's first port styles. The Estate is family owned and operated and wines can only be purchased from their Cellar Door or their website. Visitors are welcome to taste the full range of wines free of charge and learn about the grapes and wine-making from the knowledgeable and friendly staff.
An immersive tasting experience
Behind the scenes at one of the first names in Margaret River wine. Annette and Scott Baxter lead small group experiences across their Caves Road vineyard and winery, taking visitors from grape to glass.
Showcasing Gralyn Estate’s long heritage producing premium wines, these limited availability ninety-minute experiences conclude in Gralyn Cellars, the estate’s original cellar door and the first of its kind in Margaret River. Opened back in 1978 this space is normally closed to the public and this is a rare opportunity to experience a piece of the region’s wine history.

Good Margaret River experience. I found their wines a bit pricey especially the fortified wines. Tasting is free but i really recommend you to buy some wine to support them afterwards. Cheers

Wow. Top end winery and nothing is low cost, but my goodness the experience of the wine tasting was out of this world amazing. No charge for tastings, but I guarantee you will walk out having bought something. Friendly staff, and lovely wine, large tasting list. The aesthetics of the cellar door are a little sterile and lacking in personality but the amazing wine makes up for all of this. Honestly what a fantastic experience!

We have driven past Gralyn on our numerous trips 'down south', with an intention to call in and try the wines and fortified's.
This time we did and realised what we've been missing. Wines are exquisite and The fortified wines are delicious.
Staff are terrific - we were lucky enough to be served by a 2nd day Staff Member who took the time to talk us through each tasting and supported well by others.
A brilliant experience and we will certainly return.

What a lovely cellar door experience. The outside of the building was surrounded by stunning gardens. Upon entry we were greeted by a lovely girl who treated us like VIP's. She had a lovely smile and was welcoming and happy to serve us the tasters of the wines. She knew the wines and described them to us enthusiastically. The wines and fortified wines were superb. Well worth a visit to Gralyn Estate. Highly recommended.
