Celebrate over 10 years of CinefestOZ Film Festival this August with a jam-packed program of Australian and international cinema, sidebar events and spectacular galas.
CinefestOZ is Australia’s premier destination film festival focused on Australian and French film, and in 2018 will run from 22 – 26 August.
Attracting filmmakers, stars and visitors to Australia’s South West, the festival delivers a wide-ranging program of film related events and film industry forums in Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River and surrounds.
Visitors can plan their itineraries to include red carpet film premieres, cosy sidebar short film selections, film related lunches, free community screenings and industry soirees.
The CinefestOZ Film Prize, at $100,000, is Australia’s richest and awarded to an outstanding Australian feature film at the festival. It will attract the highest calibre of Australian filmmakers and stars in the festival’s history.
Combine this with the spectacular natural beauty of the region, its wineries, restaurants, galleries and famed hospitality and you have a superb getaway. Take time to explore the film events on offer and Australia’s magnificent South West.
Tickets can be purchased to major events from mid-July, with the full program of events and screenings available through the festival website.
Early bird tickets go on sale July 6.
How to Buy Tickets
There are two methods of purchasing tickets – via a Cinepass or single tickets.
The best way to fully immerse yourself in CinefestOZ is to purchase a Cinepass.
There are five passes, each offering a different festival experience for all or part of the festival period. Explore the options below and choose your own CinefestOZ adventure – it’s your time to indulge!
FILM PRIZE CINEPASS
Film Prize Cinepass is valid for the entire festival and includes tickets to all Film Prize premieres with after parties, all Film In Conversation Lunches, as well as General Screenings and the Gala Night.
Weekend Cinepass is valid from Friday night to Sunday night. This pass allows guests to enjoy as many screenings and events as they can physically fit into their weekend schedules, including the Gala Night.
Mixed Bag Cinepass is for those who prefer to bring a friend to a range of Side Bar events and General Screenings. This Cinepass is valid for 10 tickets, with up to two tickets per session permitted.
Can’t decide what films to catch? Get a Multi Cinepass, which allows you to see up to five General Screening sessions at Orana Cinemas, Grand Cinemas or Cape Mentelle Winery, Margaret River.
Industry Cinepass caters for filmmakers and students of the film industry and includes a variety of workshops and panels, Side Bars and General Screenings of your choice.

To buy individual tickets to an event or film screening, search through the printed or online program to select one that appeals to you. A film may be screened once or multiple times over the festival, and some screenings may have a function attached, so the prices, venues and event details will vary.
