Once a sleepy hollow and home to designer cows, Cowaramup town centre has evolved to a fun hospitality & retail country town high street now featuring new comers West Winds Gin Distillery & Tavern and the Servo Taphouse (both in walking distance). It also boasts the best of the best winery restaurants including the renowned Rústico @ Hay Shed Hill restaurant, the new owners of Rústicoq Bed & Breakfast.

We had a wonderful experience here, which we booked as part of a package that included paired degustation lunch at Rustico (our go-to place down south), Hay Shed Hill wine tasting, and transport to/from HSH. The breakfast was fine (despite another reviewer's comments) - plenty of variety and more than enough food. We went for a winter break, so we were the only occupants of the entire property for the two nights, and didn't really use the shared common areas. It would be even better if you go with other couples - or even just meet strangers who happen to be staying there at the same time. Highly recommended, and we'll be back.

This place is amazing! Pay no mind to people such as "Dzzy Dee" below. This place is a heritage wonderland. The renovations and decor done here are sublime. Each room is perfectly furnished. Breakfast is really enough for 3 mornings (not sure how much dizzy dee eats) with a whole loaf of sourdough, yoghurt, eggs, fruit...come on!!! As for the lunch...Rustico never disssapoints. The food is.sublime! As for the previous mention of HE not bringing a cocktail, hey, its school holidays, its busy, what happened to a nice "excuse me, I think this might be the wrong drink...but all good!" Chill, you on holidays! The privilege really go too deep sometimes. Have a look around. This place is Perfection! On all levels!!.I would live here if I could x

Disappointed to say the least. Ruined our 10 year wedding anniversary! The photographs speak volumes!! -Room 4: Mouldy, damp bathroom, dusty bedroom- how are the standards? No outside lights by bedroom. -1 small apple juice and orange juice to last 2 mornings. -One small bread to last 2 mornings. -1 small yoghurt each to last 2 mornings. Breakfast not as displayed so very underwhelming! They don’t even restock the cups. -“Cheeseboard” cryovaced and placed in the fridge at 7pm on the first night, why is it not there for arrival with the wine? Don’t be fooled by the picture advertised. -Gin bar- you get one tonic each for the 2 days. - west winds- 1 gin paddle to share…?! -rusticos, underwhelming no fish swap outs - laughable with a rude waiter because HE got my drink wrong. Addressed these issues with the owner prior to posting this whom was happy with what they offer!

We booked the three night couples package, which included an amazing degustation lunch at Rustico with transport. Also a fabulous breakfast hamper which provided us three breakfasts and a dinner (cheese and herb omelette). On arrival we discovered a bottle of wine and a cheese platter with grapes and strawberries, pate and date relish, which was so thoughtful. Every detail was attended to, from snacks, coffee machine, and even complimentary gin with tonic in our personal fridge. The shared kitchen had everything you could need and we made good use of it. The decor was stunning, compliments to the designer, and it kept the history of the former bakery alive while retaining modern comfort. Everything was a two minute walk away and the $50 Servo Taphouse voucher came in handy for dinner one night. We ordered an authentic Italian pizza from the pizza shop close by on the second night. For lunch there are so many great wineries, cafes and breweries nearby. All in all this is a quality experience, everything is beautiful, the rooms, the location and the attention of the booking staff! Thank you so much to the owners and your team.
