Jaspers Pemberton

Google are asking me about the rooms - we didn't stay so hence no rating. But! We ate there and loved it! We were in town for our daughter's wedding so to say Jasper's was the highlight of our trip would risk family estrangement. Secretly - however it was (almost) the highlight of our trip. We were seated outside - which was not my preference (see below) - but was a wise choice by Jaspers as we were a table of 5 rowdy/happy people and we would have destroyed the atmosphere inside. We were seated near a family with very young children so they didn't care...but if they had been a couple on a first date... My fears of being forgotten outside were unfounded. Service at all times was attentive and discrete. We never were without a drink. The food was delicious and delivered hot. I had the Mushroom Risotto which I loved. Two people had the Barramundi Caponata and one had the Jaspers’ Ultimate Burger. We shared the Chicken Karaage Wings as entree. Everyone raved about their meal. I hope our exuberance didn't spoil others' enjoyment - but it simple reflected the wonderful time we had. We were staying out of town - and we had a wedding the next day - so our digestif consumption was limited unfortunately to one. Jaspers was a rare place: - it was elegant but not stuffy (thanks to the outside dining), - friendly but not overly familiar (thanks to the European serving staff), - delightful food but not expensive. It goes without saying I would recommend this restaurant.
