Are you looking for a great casual dining experience while in Margaret River?
Margaret River is such a great place - there is so much for the senses. Beautiful trees, amazing beaches, tracks to explore, the river to wander along, wineries and art galleries. Out of this area also comes outstanding locally grown and produced food and drink. This is what Drift Cafe aim to bring to you.

Start your day with one of their popular breakfasts, gather with friends over a lazy lunch or call in for great coffee. Drift Café, set in the converted Old Shire Library near the centre of town, is cosy and friendly, offering food that echoes the excellence of the region. Drift Cafe like to refer to it as ‘relaxed excellence’.

They consider themselves extremely fortunate to be able to combine their enjoyment of café dining and meeting people with being able to live in this part of the world. They also have a great team on board. An Executive head chef who takes café food to the next level. Every dish, every element, that comes from their kitchen is made onsite by them. They have trained at the WA Barista Academy to bring out the best of the Five Senses Coffee Bean with fresh grinds every time. The style and feel of the café is very much a reflection of the owners, somewhere that they'd like to go themselves.

Colin & Gaye McQueen would love you to come and enjoy it for yourself!

Breakfast was fantastic! My wife suffers from severe allergies and the staff were extremely accomodating. That, and the food was excellent, coffee was to die for! Thanks to the crew at Drift for making our visit very memorable, in a very good way. Highly recommended!

Saturday afternoon we were looking for a place for a lite lunch when we stumbled across the gem on Willmott Avenue in Margaret River. The food was so good by the time I remembered to get a photo it was half gone. We had the Avocado on toast and my young fella had the pancakes with fresh strawberries and Ice Cream. The Mango Slushie, Mango Smoothie and Big Bold Red Juice were also delicious. The staff were really friendly, and even came over to confirm a food allergy we informed them of, to ensure we knew all ingredients to double check there wasn’t anything else that may affect. We are going back tomorrow to try out breakfast. Huge thank you to all the staff for ensuring our needs were met, and also the smiling eyes (masks worn) making our lunch an enjoyable and chilled experience.

I got the rhubarb buttermilk pancakes with panna cotta and they were great! At first I thought the serving size was on the smaller side, but the meal ended up being really filling and tasty. Although the prices can be a little steep, if you’re in Margaret River I highly recommend going here!

Can't go wrong! Breaky on a Saturday morning. Quick service friendly staff and the food was amazing. I'm vegetarian and had the vegan breakfast
