The Bettenays produce decadent, creamy nougat as well as a selection of premium wines, have a number of luxury accommodation options on their stunning vineyard property, provide unique tasting experiences and events and also have a lakeside café.
An easy drive along Caves Road to Tom Cullity Drive will see you stumble upon their peaceful vineyard property, nestled amongst some of the best beaches and wineries in the Margaret River region. Step into the cellar door and enjoy a guided tasting through a selection of superb wines, from toasty Chardonnays to white pepper and spicey shiraz, all the way through to sweet, creamy, nougat-inspired liqueurs.

Greg and Terri Bettenay established the winery in 1989 when they carefully selected a property with the perfect terroir. With over 30 years of experience producing premium wines, it’s no wonder that some of their more unique varieties have acquired a cult following! The property now boasts 25 acres under vine with the excess grapes being highly sought after by neighbouring wineries.

More than just a winery, a visit to the cellar door is an experience in and of itself. Choose from a range of different tasting options, from a simple wine tasting to a carefully curated paired wine + nougat tasting featuring 5 top-selling varieties of their famous nougat. Bettenay's are also delighted to now offer spanish-inspired cuisine to be served alongside their exquisite range of wine.

Stayed for 5 days over Christmas period, awesome secluded 3 bed cottage amongst the trees. Easy walk to lake and wine tastings, very relaxing with tables around the lake for sunsets. Kids loved the rabbits. Kookaburras and kangaroos and vines. Rustic cottage is fitted out nicely, BBQ, comfy seating for morning coffee on the veranda

Very disappointed in the food service. We ordered the platter however it took an extremely long time to be served to our table but disappointment hit when the cheese was extremely hard. The bread was delicious but nowhere near enough to fit the platter size. Small amount of crackers, 2 strawberries cut up and a small amount of sliced pear. We asked the staff for extra bread however they never brought it out. Although, the location is beautiful and the glass of wine we ordered was delicious.

My parents and I had a Devonshire tea set each. Served beautifully and scones were light and tea was amazing ( tea leaves not tea bags) The lady that served us went out of her way. The restaurant has beautiful views overlooking a lake and some forests and pasture land nearby. We went in the morning and at a quiet time of the year and was rewarded by having the whole place to ourselves. Definitely recommend a visit and almost forgot… the nougats were also delicious. Not too sweet and sticky and hard.

Bettenay is a definite quaint place to visit. We went for the roast dinner, very yummy and filling, great value for money. The wine tasting board was delightful, definitely have to try, presentation i have never seen before. The nougat recommendation with each wine was a tasteful experience, we were amazed at how the wine tasted so different after a bite of the nougat. We will be going there again. The staff made the venue a great environment to be in. The restaurant was quaint and warm for winter. Thank you bettenay. We will be going to each of your special occasions
