This summer, Bettenay's Margaret River has made their Nougaretto Liqueur even better (as impossible as that may seem!) and turned it into an icy cocktail. Head into the cellar door and enjoy your Coffee Nougaretto cocktail fresh from their slushie machine.
Bettenay Wines is part of Bettenay’s Margaret River, a one-of-a-kind estate experience with something for everyone to enjoy. The Bettenays produce decadent, creamy nougat as well as a selection of premium wines, have a number of luxury accommodation options on their stunning vineyard property, provide unique tasting experiences and events and also have a lakeside café.
An easy drive along Caves Road and Tom Cullity Drive will see you stumble upon their peaceful vineyard property, nestled amongst some of the best beaches and wineries in the Margaret River region. Step into the cellar door and enjoy a guided tasting through a selection of superb wines, from toasty Chardonnays to spicy Merlots and sweet, creamy, nougat-inspired liqueurs.
Greg and Terri Bettenay established the winery in 1989 when they carefully selected a property with the perfect terroir. With over 30 years of experience producing premium wines, it’s no wonder that some of their more unique varieties have acquired a cult following! The property now boasts 25 acres under vine with the excess grapes being highly sought after by neighbouring wineries.
More than just a winery, a visit to the cellar door is an experience in and of itself. Choose from a range of different tasting options, from a simple wine tasting to a carefully curated paired wine + nougat tasting featuring 5 top-selling varieties of their famous nougat.

Delicious nougat to try and plenty to buy. Different flavours and goodies made with the nougat including nougat liqueurs which you can also sample, they pack a punch and they're a bit different so would make a nice gift or treat.
They also had wines to try and to purchase. The owner/nougat maker was very friendly and chatty too.

Picturesque environment, and pretty pricey nougat. The nougat is undeniably good. Too bad they ran out of Cranberry and Pistachio flavour, a hot favourite when I visited. Had to make do with Sea Salt Caramel, which was good too

We had the best morning. Our tour had been cancelled but I did not check my emails so we did not realise. The staff were amazing and although they were short staffed made a huge effort to make us welcome and gave us a modified version of the experience with a refund of the service they could not provide. Nell was amazing and made us a delicious platter and the most lovely wine and nougart tasting platter. Beautiful grounds and lovely wines. We will definitely return. Thank you for going out of your way Nell and making our trip worthwhile. Carole and Russell

Friendly staff. Nougat is not cheap but lots of variety. Wine selection pretty good. Liqueurs not for me but what I tried was not bad. Lovely outdoor area overlooking a lake for photo opportunities
