Edwards Wines
The winery honours the story of founder Brian Edwards, who set out on an epic adventure in a tiny Tiger Moth (Matilda), flying solo from Binbrook in England (where his Father was last posted before being declared MIA in WW2) to Perth, Western Australia. Brian, swayed by his passion for Shiraz and the potential he saw in the Margaret River region, then began to follow another dream. Discovering a property where he could first land Matilda and, secondly, plant grapes. What started as a simple tree change grew into a thriving family business. Now, the Edwards family has partnered with the Walsh family, which has a long history in the area. The Walsh and Edwards family continues the tradition of high quality and leading by example in the wine industry.
Enjoy the picturesque views across the Vineyard, admire the new building and learn about the underwater wine lying at the bottom of Flinders Bay in Augusta. The team have created a Cellar Door masterpiece to pay homage to Brian, Matilda, their journey and inspirational wines you will want to share with family and friends.
