River Ceramics

Celebrate the best of the South West winter with a hands-on ceramics workshop at River Ceramics. Gather around a crackling outdoor fire beneath the trees, sip on a warm drink and be guided through creating and decorating your own clay pieces. Suitable for all skill levels, these seasonal workshops are perfect for solo creatives, families and groups of friends looking to embrace a slower pace. All pieces are fired for you after the workshop, so you’ll have a handmade keepsake to take home.

Studio Boodja at Origins Market

Join artist Cassandra Bynder for a painty play session at Origins Market. Through this creative two-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to use Gelli plates, foliage and colour to create unique layered prints inspired by nature. Suitable for all experience levels, it’s a fun and welcoming way to connect with your creativity while learning from a local Noongar/Yamatji artist. All materials are supplied and you’ll leave with a collection of prints and a new creative obsession.

Looking for a fun and educational way to learn about wine? Become a winemaker for the day with an interactive wine blending experience at Clairault Streicker.

Their expert team will guide you through the wine blending process, helping you choose the right combination of flavours to match your taste. Measure, mix and taste the wines before bottling your newfound blend to take home.

Celebrating a special milestone? Extend your masterclass to include a 3-course lunch and paired wine tasting. The perfect excuse for a long lunch with vineyard views.

Margaret River Wine Academy

Just launched, the Margaret River Wine Academy is a fresh and exciting wine education experience dedicated to uncovering the unique qualities of the Margaret River Region and its fine wines.

Run by wine expert and published author Leah Clearwater, the Academy is the first of its kind in the South West. With 2-3 hour courses that are carefully designed for wine lovers at any level, topics range from “Beautiful Bubbles” (a deep dive into sparkling wines) to the signature styles of Margaret River. Each session is packed with expert insights, interactive learning, and of course, finishes with a curated regional tasting.

Normal Van

For those who love wine and want to deepen their knowledge, Cork Dorks is a fortnightly wine tasting group hosted at Normal Van every second Wednesday. Led by passionate sommelier Hayley Ward, each session is part masterclass, part tasting adventure – designed for curious drinkers, budding enthusiasts, and seasoned wine lovers alike. Expect thoughtfully curated themes, blind tastings, and insights into varietals, regions, and winemaking techniques, all guided with Hayley’s signature down-to-earth style. Open to all – just bring your curiosity (and a thirst for knowledge).

Giniversity’s ethos is all about innovation – experimenting with exotic and native botanicals to craft unique recipes reminiscent of Australia’s South West. She Skipper Course at Adventure Sailing

Ready to take the helm? Adventure Sailing’s She Skipper Course offers women a supportive environment to gain their Recreational Skipper’s Ticket in the South West. Led by experienced instructor Em “Pups” McPherson, the course combines theory, practical training and assessment, with on-water experience taking place in the protected waters of Port Geographe Marina. Designed by women, for women, it’s a confidence-building introduction to boating skills in a welcoming environment.
