The Margaret River Chocolate Company has unveiled a brand new look at its flagship Margaret River factory, and plans to have the whole company carbon neutral in just four years. The once-striking facade of the 22 year old building has now been clad with native hardwood timber of the region - rough-sawn Western Australian jarrah – which not only refreshes its look but also doubles the façade’s thermal resistance and insulating properties. Its new thermally-efficient, natural exoskeleton is one of a suite of energy-efficient innovations being unveiled by the company to make its flagship headquarters and entire operations carbon neutral by 2025.

Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate! Not to mention FREE chocolate tastings.

The Margaret River Chocolate Company is a must-visit location for all the family. Come and see the professional Chocolatiers hand craft award-winning chocolates through the Chocolate Viewing Window! Or simply enjoy a coffee in the Chocolate Cafe and indulge with a slice of fresh house-made cakes.

Commonly referred to as "The Chocolate Factory", The Margaret River Chocolate Company is one of Western Australia's most popular tourist attractions, with manufacturing, sales and cafe facilities in both Margaret River and the Swan Valley and a concept store in the heart of the Perth CBD.

The (original) Margaret River factory is located on a peaceful and picturesque rural property just 20 minutes from both Margaret River and Busselton. The company's second factory is located in the heart of Perth's historic Swan Valley, just 20 minutes from the Perth CBD. Both locations provide a fascinating insight into the world of chocolate, with visitors treated to FREE chocolate tastings, interactive displays, viewing windows to watch the chocolate products being made and a friendly, holiday atmosphere.

A wealth of information on all aspects of chocolate is available, plus both factories sell a huge, mouth-watering range of chocolate bars, chocolate-coated delights, hand made truffles, novelty chocolates, chocolate body products, chocolate sauce, cookies, ice-cream, chocolate milk and a variety of chocolate cakes. There's something for everyone, with well over 100 different products on offer!

The Margaret River Chocolate Company's facilities also include a cafe for casual indoor and outdoor dining. So, sit for a while and relax in the comfortable setting whilst enjoying fabulous food. The menu showcases fresh produce from the organic vegetable garden, orchard and olive grove located on the farm. All the cakes in the cafe are made in house and fresh with usually between 10 and 15 different cakes to choose from... Rocky Road or Cookies and Cream cheesecakes right through to gluten-free Orange and Almond cakes and of course a traditional Mudcake and more.

Visitors of all ages are welcomed with friendly, helpful staff, fantastic products, plenty of parking and a welcoming, fully air-conditioned environment. They are looking forward to your visit!

Chocolate tasted great, coffee and cake superb but prices excessive Michael Daniels
What can I say, chocolate. Murray Halligan
Chocolate, chocolate, Chocolate and more chocolate. As you step in you have the choose of taste sample three different type of chocolate buttons, be quick to consume not just so you could go back for more but because the buttons melt quickly in you hand. (Unspoken rule, if you ask for adult taste samples you have to buy. Not that they said anything.Has anyone else heard this?) I don't always have that amount of money, but by tasting a few each time I go,I then can save up for the best one to buy. I will give the chocolate company their dues, they give out full size samples. If you know your coming this way save up beforehand, the back wall behind the counter will be there waiting for you. They also sell sit in food. Haven't tried it yet but I think I'm going to have to set time aside for a morning tea at the chocolate company. Helen Stephen
I rate it as three stars for the cafe food choices. My wife and kid will rate the chocolates, ice cream and food as 4 stars. They have gluten free ice cream. Gluten free pumpkin soup and chips. Large outdoor lawn area for picnic and kid’s to run around. Lots of under cover alfresco seating too. Our second time around at the Dunsborough outlet. Andrew Chong
I mean it’s chocolate, what’s not to love about it. Stayed for some lunch and their food is always spot on! The pulled pork burger, that pork was so flavorful and tasty, chips were also crispy and fluffy. Friendly service and great atmosphere. Cameron Pavey
