Take a Wildflower Tour...
The AMRTA Wildflower Tours are a wonderful opportunity for both locals and tourists alike to experience and connect with some of the unique flora and fauna of which the Margaret River region has to offer.
Conducted by knowledgeable members of the Friends of the Cape to Cape Group and supported by the Cape to Cape Catchments Group, our tours will provide you with an informative and memorable experience of these delicate flowers and surrounding ecosystem.
Let our tour guides educate you and help you to spot some of these wonderous creations. See if you can recognise the dominate whites and yellows of the Wattles, Hibbertias, and Beardheaths. Or perhaps spot the rich colours of the Cottonheads, Purple Tassles, Fan-Flowers and Flame Peas. And for lovers of the delicate orchid, admire the King in His Carriage, Flying Ducks, Cowslip, Donkey’s and Spider Orchids.
Taking you to the best wildflower hot spots, tours will also include exploring the some of the region’s most spectacular cave systems including Mammoth, Lake and Jewel caves.
An ancient wonderland of discovery, these breathtaking caves are nestled in the spine of the Leeuwin Naturaliste Ridge and belong to a series of complex and fragile Karst systems which are landscapes formed by the flow of water underground. These systems are often characterised by dolines (large holes), blind valleys, sinking streams and springs. Not to mention being home to significant aquatic invertebrates found only in Western Australia.

Tour Information: Conducted daily from 12th September - 26th October
Cost: $12 per person for 1hr tour.
