Sail aboard one of the last operating Pearl Luggers in Australia.
Willie’, a 67’ Gaff Rig Schooner, modelled on the designs of early 1900 pearl luggers, was built to fish for Mother of Pearl shell Pinctada Maxima, which put Broome on the map and shaped the history of the region. ‘Willie’ allows you to see how a traditional gaff rigged sailing vessel operates with all sails heaved up manually just as our forefathers did.

Now sailing through summer between Busselton, Bunker Bay and Eagle Bay, Willie offers an authentic sailing experience taking you with the winds to enjoy the beautiful southern coast.

Epic experience! The boat is in incredible condition, you can tell how much the owners really care about it. The net was put out for us so you could lay in it while the boat slowly cruised along. Fresh oysters, great platters. Bar has a good selection of drinks to purchase. We were even offered to help lift the sails. Very friendly crew. And…. Of course the sunset from the boat is one you cannot miss! :) highly recommend!

Our second time heading out on the Broome sunset cruise and we just absolutely love it. A great set up, as you are picked up and dropped back to your hotel. The team are always so welcoming and the food the provide is delish. We will recommend Willie Pearl Lugger Cruises to everyone!

Fantastic sunset cruise. Pearl Lugger was in immaculate condition. Skipper and crew were extremely helpful, professional, and when required, tolerant! Couldn’t recommend this trip higher!!!
