Sail aboard one of the last operating Pearl Luggers in Australia.
"Willie", a 67’ Gaff Rig Schooner, modelled on the designs of early 1900 pearl luggers, was built to fish for Mother of Pearl shell Pinctada Maxima, which put Broome on the map and shaped the history of the region. "Willie" allows you to see how a traditional gaff rigged sailing vessel operates with all sails heaved up manually just as our forefathers did.
Now sailing through summer between Busselton, Meelup Beach and Eagle Bay. "Willie" offers an authentic sailing experience taking you with the winds to enjoy the beautiful southern coast.

Epic experience! The boat is in incredible condition, you can tell how much the owners really care about it. The net was put out for us so you could lay in it while the boat slowly cruised along. Fresh oysters, great platters. Bar has a good selection of drinks to purchase. We were even offered to help lift the sails. Very friendly crew. And…. Of course the sunset from the boat is one you cannot miss! :) highly recommend!

We decided to book our Willie Cruise a month before landing in Broome. It was a family of eight adults and we were all looking forward to our day on the beautiful
Waters in Roebuck Bay.
I can’t say how much we enjoyed the cruise.
Captain Cody, Brodie, Jimmy and the gorgeous young lady were very professional and nothing was too much trouble to ensure all on board were treated to a wonderful experience.
It will be an adventure to remember and I’m sure everyone on the cruise found that it exceeded their expectation.
It sure did for me.
Well done to the crew and Willie Lugger Cruises for making our visit to Broome such a memorable one.

The Captain and crew provided a happy, sophisticated, charming, funny and adventurous time. I don't normally do "organised tours" preferring to say, paddle myself, but I was so very glad I did this tour 1st July 2021. It was a World Class experience in every respect. I, and all my fellow passengers, thoroughly and completely enjoyed ourselves. There is nothing to critique here folks. Book, turn up, enjoy!

Really enjoyed our sunset cruise on 'Willie'. The super friendly staff picked us up from our accommodation. We enjoyed delicious oysters and canapes whilst relaxing with a glass of wine. Perfect way to spend an evening sailing the clear blue water as the sunset over the ocean. I can highly recommend this cruise. 👌
