The beauty of the Margaret River Region is there are a range of different dining experiences to suit the mood you’re in.

CookDigs in Busselton is the kind of spot that you might miss if you’re not looking out for it, but after tasting the incredible Mediterranean style food you’ll be planning your next trip back. Colourful, fresh, vibrant ingredients are used in wraps and platters, with weekly specials available depending on what has caught chef Tom’s eye.

Feeding a crowd? Jump online and order one of their mezze platters, featuring a combo of falafel, salad, pickled vegetables and dips that everyone will love.

Origins Market

Casual never means uninteresting in the Margaret River Region, and Origins Market is a perfect example of somewhere you can find a relaxed meal packed full of flavour. Many of the stands are manned by the chef themselves, so you can have a chat about their inspiration and passion for the food they are serving up. On Friday and Saturday evenings the night market comes alive and you can sample dishes from all around the world, accompanied by a glass of something local and delicious from the licenced Tavern. Or for a lunch on the run you can’t go past Dusty Buns, their filled Turkish bread rolls are incredibly fresh and tasty.

Peko Peko

Proving that healthy food doesn’t have to mean boring, Peko Peko serves up fresh and fun flavour combinations in the form of sushi, rice paper rolls, soups and salads. They also have a selection of gourmet dinner packs available, that you can heat and eat for those nights when you need something wholesome but can’t be bothered cooking.

Swings & Roundabouts Yallingup

Swings & Roundabouts has become a bit of an institution, loved for its ability to cater to groups of all sizes. For a casual meal everyone will love you can’t go past their woodfired pizza, and the entire menu is available for takeaway – head to their website to order online, then you can simply ‘swing’ past to collect.

There’s also always something new happening; this summer they had their Kombi bar set up on the lawn, and there are a few exciting plans in the works to keep an eye out for.

Providore

Providore is a gourmet wonderland, fully stocked with condiments, marinades, dressings, olive oils and much more, many of which are made on-site from produce grown in their organic gardens. Looking for a quick lunch while exploring the region? Stop by for one of their freshly made Conti rolls, which you can take away or enjoy with a glass of award-winning Coward & Black Rosé while overlooking the vineyard.

The Common

If it’s a post-beach feed you’re after, join the locals and head to The Common in Prevelly. There’s a kids play area to keep the groms entertained, and a classic menu featuring all the favourites with a bit of Mexican flair. The burritos are delicious and enormous.

The Augusta Hotel is pretty special, in that you can enjoy a quality casual meal with million dollar views over the Blackwood River and beyond. There are picnic tables out on the grass with plenty of space to stretch out, or on cooler days park up in the dining room next to the fireplace.
