Venue: Settlers Tavern
Down to earth and humble, Loren is a true hard-working troubadour revealing a musical flair that can’t be ignored. Ever evolving and creating, Loren explores a myriad of feels and styles, and his eclecticism makes him hard to categorize. Any attempts at modern comparisons or pigeon holes don't quite work. What you experience is pure and raw original talent that appeals to a dreadlocked hippie, the local footy team, a fellow musician, a middle aged businessman, your kids and your grandma.
Loren is heading to WA early August for some shows before he finally hits the studio to record a new album with Beck Flatt and recent addition to the team on bass Mitch Mclennan. They have hibernating and working on the new songs for a few months now and are itching to get stuck into the recording process.
Loren will be travelling solo for this trip coming up and saving the band action for the release of this next album. He will hopefully call upon some of his Western musical friends to join him on stage for these shows.

Tashi tells the best stories ever!
Tall tales are beloved by children and Tashi is one of the best storytellers of the children’s literary world.
Tashi is the hero of a series of Australian books by Sydney-based mother and daughter Anna and Barbara Fienberg.
In August, Arts Margaret River and Brisbane-based Imaginary Theatre are bringing the stage adaptation of the well-loved Tashi books to Margaret River as part of a National Tour stopping in 17 venues across Australia and seen by more than 25,000 children and families since 2006.
Tashi is a very small boy, from a very small village far, far away, who tells very big stories about the people of his village and the extraordinary adventures he had there before he came to Australia. The two Tashi tales on this tour are Tashi, the Swan and the Dragon and Tashi and the Big Stinker. Both stories are told in one performance session and are suitable for children aged 4 – 10 years.
The production combines creative staging, intricate designs, innovative storytelling and physical theatre to create a high quality theatrical experience. Audiences will get two 25-minute stories in one 70-minute show – a perfect length for little ones!
Once children have been on a Tashi adventure they will want to explore his magical world again and again, so the show is also a great way to encourage your children to read.
The Australian Government is proud to be associated with this tour through the national performing arts touring program, Playing Australia, which gives Australians across the country the opportunity to see some of our best performing arts.

LEEUWIN CONCERT SERIES 2011 presents ROXY MUSIC |
Date: Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th February 2011
Venue: Leeuwin Estate Winery, Stevens Road, Margaret River
Leeuwin Estate is delighted to present Roxy Music, with the band based around the classic line-up of vocalist Bryan Ferry, guitarist Phil Manzanera, saxophonist Andy Mackay and the great Paul Thompson on drums, to perform the 2011 Leeuwin Concerts.
Renowned for their potent cocktail of fashion, romance, nostalgia and futurism, Roxy left a massive footprint on British popular culture with classic hits including Dance Away, Avalon, Let’s Stick Together, Do the Strand, Angel Eyes, Oh Yeah (On the Radio, In the Midnight Hour, Jealous guy and More Than This.
Roxy Music formed in 1971 and their ‘72 self-titled debut album, declared by many as the best first album ever, cleared the path for a saunter into the UK top five by the ravishingly stylish first single ‘Virginia Plain’. Before the year ended Roxy had completed their opening tours of both the UK and US.
Almost everything that Roxy achieved during the next decade, including seven more studio albums, has become part of the fabric of rock history, from singles like ‘Pyjamarama’, Street Life’ and ‘Love Is The Drug’ to Bryan Ferry’s ever-influential wardrobe and those legendary album covers. They topped the album charts with 1973’s ‘Stranded’, 1980’s ‘Flesh and Blood’ and their last studio album ‘Avalon’, and it wasn’t long before the compilation album ‘Street Life’ raced to No.1 in 1986 and stayed there five weeks. They disbanded while still at the top of their game.
The remastered and critically acclaimed reappearance of the entire Roxy catalogue in 2000 preceded the reunited Roxy Music 2001 World Tour which confirmed that the legacy had only appreciated with time. Critics were unanimous in their unequivocal praise: “literally inimitable”, “consistently cited as influential by modern heroes”, “the experience is more like re-reading a good book”, “...received an ecstatic response from the crowd”, “Roxy Music surprising us again.” Bryan Ferry’s 1999 solo album “As Time Goes By’ gained significant recognition with a Grammy 2001 nomination.
Guests are invited to stay after the main performance and enjoy the party atmosphere and dancing to the post concert entertainment!
