Jewel Cave, located in Augusta, is Western Australia’s largest show cave. Celebrated for its immense chambers filled with dazzling crystal formations, it offers a captivating journey into the region's geological wonders.

During a one-hour guided tour, you'll explore three vast underground spaces filled with towering stalactites and stalagmites, delicate straws and sparkling shawls, shaped over thousands of years.

An Unforgettable Experience at Jewel Cave! Jewel Cave is a must-visit for anyone exploring Western Australia! From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. Our guide was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also had a great sense of humor, making the tour both informative and entertaining. The cave itself is breathtaking, with awe-inspiring rock formations that have taken thousands of years to form. Every turn revealed something new—stalactites, stalagmites, and delicate crystal structures that left us in awe. It’s a paradise for photography enthusiasts, with plenty of opportunities to capture the cave’s natural beauty. After the tour, we stopped by the on-site café, where the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. The snacks were delicious—perfect for refueling after the adventure! Jewel Cave is a must-see destination, offering a perfect mix of history, natural beauty, and hospitality. Highly recommended!

What an amazing experience. Be ready for over 500 steps up and down but realistically, it's not that hard. The caves are spectacular and our Guide Tia was really good at explaining everything about the geology and history of the caves. Excellent tour, well done.

Located on Jewel Caves Road, Deepdene, Western Australia, Australia 🇦🇺 This is an absolute MUST for anyone visiting the Margaret River area. You have to go in with a tour, you can’t go by yourself. The Jewel Cave Centre opens from 9.00 am until 5.00pm every day except Christmas Day. Jewel Cave is the largest show cave in Western Australia. It has three huge chambers. The tour is one hour long . I was awestruck by the crystal creations that have taken thousands of years to form. The first chamber is home to one of the longest straw stalactites found in any tourist cave in Australia. I felt so insignificant compared to the age of these ancient relics. The guide was also telling us about the now extinct Tasmanian Tigers that fell into the cave and perished. At the end of the tour, we chose to go on a self guided hike along the Karri Walk, the height and beauty of the trees was fantastic. We then had a drink at the Jewel Cave Cafe. It was great to look out over the forest. Overall, this was a fascinating experience. There are stairs involved so not really for people with mobility issues. The guide was really informative and took great pride in his job. He made the tour a lot more enjoyable and interesting. The natural beauty of the caves was wonderful. It was truly inspiring. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thumbs up!!! 👍👍👍👍

Terrific all-around experience! Spellbinding! Great cave backstory story. Tom, our guide, brought real life, humor, and energy to our tour. He was wonderful with engaging all ages in the tour. Mother Nature is doing the rest. 250 steps, each way, plus elevated carbon dioxide levels to be aware of. 'Youthful' cave at 1 million years old.
