The team at Wayfinder Wine Bar have opened the doors on their brand-new cellar door. Located at the heart of their certified organic vineyard in Cowaramup, Wayfinder Winery & Farm is open for tastings daily. Their seasonal farm-to-table restaurant is set to open later in September, so keep an eye out for that one.

Swings & Roundabouts has added a sleek Vineyard Chalet to its Yallingup venue, alongside a deep dive into how it grows its wine, aptly named ‘Backyard Stories Experience’.

Forest Rise Chalets & Lodge has teamed up with Island Brook Estate, so now you can wander a short bushland trail straight from your accommodation to a wine tasting at the winery next door.

This family-owned winery up in the hills of Redgate is opening its cellar door just for you with ‘Taste the Tradition’. By appointment only, Rob and the team at Mr Barval Fine Wines will personally host you on a tour of the winery, sharing their traditional Italian-inspired winemaking methods, a guided tasting and a delicious grazing board of local produce. It’s all unhurried, so give it a good two hours.

Juan and Clarissa have been sharing their love of the region with their tours at Easy Ride Experiences. With the creeks flowing and the flowers blooming, they’ve refreshed their three signature experiences to make your trip down south enjoyable and genuine. Indulge in their ‘Boutique Wine Tour’, taste the difference with ‘Brews, Barrels & Distilleries’, or stretch your legs on ‘Coastal Explorer’.

Located along the banks of the Blackwood River, Molloy Hideaway Holiday Park is welcoming visitors to stop by with its new day passes, which give you access to a range of facilities and the chance to meet some of Western Australia’s captivating wildlife. You might love it so much you decide to stay the night and set up camp under starlight.

Long-time Dunsborough locals De and Dundee are diving right into the spring whale-watching season in Geographe Bay with Dundee Marine Charters. Departing daily from Quindalup Boat Ramp, an easy five-kilometre drive east of Dunsborough’s town centre, their ‘By-Boat Whale Watching Tour’ is a great way to spend three hours on the water. Once the whales move on, De and Dundee will continue to ride the ocean with their ‘Eco Tour’ and private charters.

Margaret River Region Open Studios may not be a new event, but there’s always something new and exciting to see during this staple of the region’s art scene. This year, over 155 artists open their studio doors to the public, splashing colour and spreading creative joy across the region.

Some of the brilliant artists taking part include Jolene Hewison, John Miller, Tamika Hogan, Christian Fletcher, Suzy French and Leon Pericles AM.

Enjoy the warmer weather by riding a bike through the lush trails and backroads of Margaret River with Secret Picnic Adventures’ new ‘Margaret River Bike or Drive Picnic Experience’. We’d recommend allowing two to four hours and, while it is a secret adventure, it’s worth knowing you’ll get to enjoy some delicious local food along the way.

If you’re into local history, you’ll enjoy this temporary exhibition being hosted at Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse. Curated by the Dunsborough Historical Society, ‘Reflections of the Cape’ shares community memories, records, maps and historical photographs. It’s the perfect way to stretch out a visit to the Cape.

Daz has swung open the doors on Saltline Brewing Co., a fresh take on the brewery and restaurant in the much-loved Southcamp precinct in Dunsborough.
