There is no need to use hot wax, so this technique is safe and easy for children, providing a fun and useful activity for shared learning. Foundation sheets are normally used by beekeepers to control the layout of honeycomb in their hives to maximise the number of eggs the queen can lay and how much honey and pollen can be stored in each frame and in the hive.
