The Story Behind Block 1

You’re invited to a masterclass tasting and conversation with Hay Shed Hill winemaker Michael Kerrigan.

Block 1 is one of the first plantings of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc in the Margaret River Region and is the sentimental favourite of winemaker Michael Kerrigan.

Upon arrival, Michael will greet you at the cellar door with a glass of Hay Shed Hill Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir. Weather permitting, they’ll take you on a short walk through the vineyard to Block 1 site, followed by a seated masterclass tasting.

While the focus will be on the Block 1 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, they will feature other wines in the Block Series range, both current and museum releases.

Light platters will be served on conclusion of the masterclass.
