Summertime adventures continue in the Margaret River Region.

February marks the beginning of Bunuru season, also known as second summer (Season of the Adolescence). As the hottest time of the year, the region’s clear blue skies and warm winds tempt you to hit the waves, seek shade in the forest and explore a horizon of epic events.

The iconic Busselton Jetty Swim and Geographe Bay Race Week will keep the water enthusiasts among us busy, while Undalup presents Bunuru Festival and a host of free live music at one of the region’s scenic cellar doors and breweries keep the festivities going all month.

Opera at Vasse Felix | 7 February

Margaret River

Presented by Perth Opera Voices, Opera at Vasse Felix will transport you to a warm summer evening in Tuscany. Canapés and Idée Fixe Premier Brut will be served on arrival before an immersive performance by Perth Opera Voices. Guests will then be invited into Vasse Felix‘s Private Dining Room for a curated three-course dinner accompanied by a tasting selection of the estate’s wines.

Busselton Jetty Swim | 8 - 9 February

Don your best goggles and get ready to celebrate! The iconic Busselton Jetty Swim is celebrating 30 years. Centred around a 3.6 km ocean swim around the iconic Busselton Jetty, this event has grown into so much more. Designed with everyone in mind from professional swimmers to beginners, there are multiple options so you can truly choose your own adventure. There are also lots of family-friendly entertainment and activities all weekend long, plus the Free Sunset Concert with Jebediah on Saturday evening.

Following a run of sold-out shows across Australia, Pond are bringing their Stung! album tour to The River on Thursday 13 February and the good times don’t end there. DZ Deathrays will be taking the stage the following night Friday 14 February.

Sunset on the Terrace at Fraser Gallop | 15 February

Wilyabrup

Join Fraser Gallop for their annual celebration of the upcoming vintage. As the sun sets over the vineyard, enjoy a selection of canapés, fresh oysters, local gelato and Fraser Gallop wines, all accompanied by the soothing sounds of live jazz music.

Ross Noble - Cranium of Curiosities | 16 February

Margaret River

The extremely hilarious Ross Noble is back live on stage to tour a tornado of tangents. What the show will be about is anybody’s guess, but that’s all part of the fun when you look inside his Cranium of Curiosities. Tickets are now on sale through Margaret River HEART – Nala Bardip Mia.

Geographe Bay Race Week | 15 - 21 February

Busselton

Hosted on the pristine waters of Geographe Bay, Geographe Bay Race Week enjoys some of the best sailing conditions in the world. Competitors, spectators, family and friends come together to enjoy the festival atmosphere of the event’s spectacular on-water and off-water schedule.

Saltwater Paint Stroll and Sip at Busselton Jetty | 16 February

Busselton

The Saltwater Paint, Stroll & Sip experience starts with a scenic stroll to the end of Busselton Jetty, gathering inspiration from the breathtaking views. Local artist Trish Waters will be your guide as you create unique artwork using watercolour paints, enhanced with saltwater straight from the ocean. Enjoy a selection of Howard Park wines alongside locally sourced cheese boards.

Undalup presents Bunuru Festival | 22 February

Bunuru Festival presented by Undalup celebrates the South West’s rich Aboriginal cultural heritage, our beautiful country and pristine environment. Bring the fam, enjoy a packed program of live music, workshops, kids activities, food trucks and stalls, and feel the power of connection with place and country.

Southern River Band at Shelter Brewing Co. | 28 February

Busselton

The Southern River Band, are back in Busselton this February for the show of the summer. The lads set Shelter alight in 2022 with the rowdiest night of live music Busselton has seen in living memory, and they’re back on board to do it again in 2025. Peter Bibby and the Big Horse Band and Finn Pearson have been locked in as support acts, with a DJ on the decks to keep the good vibes going well into the night after the main act.

Beerfarm Rodeo | 28 February - 1 March

Dust off your boots for the 2025 Beerfarm Rodeo! Now in its fourth year, Beerfarm have teamed up with The Australian Bushmen’s Campdraft & Rodeo Association and Double Barrel Entertainment again to bring you one of the West’s top rodeo and campdraft events. This multi-day event showcases the best in rodeo action, from the adrenaline-pumping bull rides to the precise skill of campdrafting.

Dunsborough Arts Festival | 1 - 3 March

Dunsborough

The annual Dunsborough Arts Festival celebrates local art and music and has become one of the region’s premier visual arts events. Enjoy evening concerts, outdoor and indoor sculpture exhibitions, arty workshops, a circus, an amazing youth talent competition, an art market and finale fireworks by local philanthropist, Dianne Laurance. Part of the festival, Sculpture by the Bay is a must-see on every art lover’s schedule.

XTERRA Dunsborough | 29 - 30 March

XTERRA Dunsborough is Australia’s largest off-road triathlon in the pristine Meelup Regional Park. This action-packed weekend is open to anyone with long, short and kids off-road triathlons, all with a friendly race atmosphere – open to solos or relay teams.
